Section B: Commitment to Personal and Career Development

What do you see as your key strengths? One of my key strengths could be considered Analytical and Problem Solving Skills as I consider always a challenge in finding new solutions or solutions more effective for certain problems. Among with this key strength, I consider as my other skills Attention to details, Strong Work Ethic, Prioritizing tasks ,Team work skills. From my point of view, teamwork represents the key of success, the engine of an activity as an idea, an opinion, always leads to a new one until the best solution is found. As for Prioritizing tasks, this is a key strength which has developed along side with my daily job tasks. Onother one which I consider the key of my work is People oriented Customer service skills as customer compliance is the real goal of a service, especially for finance services. I mentioned Strong Work Ethic as I am always dedicated to my work and I always consider that success is the goal of my activity.

What do you see as your key development areas? One of my key development areas is Maximization of Work Performance as being efficient is the key of any activity and of a qualitative work and I am always searching for new solution, for improvement. Among this, I would like also to mention Continuous Learning as this is the key of a real success, when a person learns new things every day, is open to new solutions, new ideas. Communicate Well is another key development as I am a communicative person, I always like to interact with different person with different personalities because you can learn any time new things from other person. I consider that Empaty and being a good listener are very important for an efficient communication. Embrace Change is another key as change is a constant part of life, and integral to personal development and success. Become excited about change, and look to it with a positive attitude is very important. I consider that If you fear change, then you fear personal development, as self improvement is about changing yourself.

What steps have you taken to develop new skills or knowledge in the last 12 months? Please comment on why you chose those skills, who else was involved and what the outcome was I have developed some of the above mentioned skills among with my job career start, for example Prioritizing tasks. Having a large number of tasks every day with different level of impact I was lead by my line manager in prioritizing them, in developing a plan of action. Having a plan is always the key of an activity, especially when the activity could be consider urgent with a high level of impact on the customers. Another skill which I consider now one of my key strengths is Customer Oriented as only working with people, knowing their demands one can learn to consider customer satisfaction the goal itself on an activity, an not the financial results. At the beginning the process was quite difficult for me as I interacted with different people, different personalities, but I learn how to listen and understand the others.

What are your career goals and aspirations? Please comment on the type of role you would like to aim for in the future, why this career path appeals to you and what you have done so far to help you achieve your goals The career path I would like to follow next is becoming a team leader. Being ateam leader is more than delegating activities, it requires many responsibilities and it involves developing yourself by leading others to develop and fallow their personnel career path. This career path appeals to me as I always coordinate others in achieving a goal, encourage teamwork and explain the others what are their tasks and role in the entire plan. I like motivating others and their ideas, helping them to implement the solutions found, ensuring them that their work is important. In order to achieve my goals and preparing myself for becoming a team leader, I started coordinating the others, explaining them what are their tasks, what is the purpose of their activity and how important is their role. Being a leader means determining the others to follow you in achieving a goal and inspire them on their actions. When you succeeded in doing that, it means that you are a real team leader.

Question 2: Engages and Inspires Please give an example of when you have had to influence someone or convince them of the need to do something. Please provide some information on each of the following questions.

Who did you need to influence? Why did you feel it was necessary to influence this person? What did you do to influence them? What objections did you face? What was the outcome? What did you learn from this?

The situation when I considered that I had a high level of influence of a person was when I provided training to my colleague who should become my back-up. I knew from the beginning that the way of providing her training will determine her level of understanding the business process and her role in achieving the goals. As the entire process was new for her my role was important in her learning process. As I consider my work very important, I wanted for her to consider that her work is also important, to be motivated to learn new things related to business. In order to influence her, I firstly explain to her which is exactly our rol in business, which is the impact of each system setting, each e-mail we sent and which are the sensitive factors that could impact our final results. I consider that only knowing exactly the process you can understand your role, be interested in continuous learning, become dedicated to your work. As each process implies obstacles, I faced some objections due to the large number of procedures, to the process exceptions, to the fact that each situation can be unique. The person to whom I was providing training kept on asking me the reason why there are so many procedures, a large volume of information which appears to be increasing every day. I had to explain to her that we need to have those procedures in order to be audit compliant, where there are rules there are also exceptions. All those exceptions, particular cases, situations will be the key of a continuous learning and will lead to a various process. The outcome was a successful one as she managed to learn the process, to understand the exception cases and to find solution each time the problem was different without asking for my help or advice. She has become my back-up, our team becoming more efficient, solving problem and managing difficult situations obtaining better results. It was the first time I provided a fully training process to a person, knowing that the future level of her knowledge will depend on the way I will explain to her the process. I learn that teaching others is a difficult and complex process, which implies effort from both sides and depends on the will of learning. I proved myself that I have the capability of providing other training. Organizing a training involves an action plan with a defined purpose, therefore due to the training process I learnd how to be a more organized person.

Question 3: Supports High Performing Teams Describe a time when you have worked as part of a team. Please provide some information on each of the following questions.

What was the team responsible for? What role did you play in this team? What problems did the team encounter? How did you personally support the team in overcoming challenges? What results did the team achieve?

Since I was hired I become a part of a team, in this case a part of Masterdata workflow and Travel and Expenses team. I think this is the most relevant example of a situation when I worked as part of a team. Every day I have the same goals as my entire team has. As a particular situation , there has been a problem with the Hungarian Travel and Expenses system. None of the employees was not able anymore to log in to the system and create their travel expense report in order to send it for approval to the line manager. We were receiving many e-mails from our customers asking for a solution regarding the system, so the problems needed to be solved. Me and my team had a short discussion on the problem trying to find solution for the problem. The first step was to find which was the cause of the problem. We spend hours in trying to find the cause. We tested solutions, checking each time if the problem was actually solved. We finally managed tosolve the problem and the system was working again properly. Understanding the gravity of the problem I explained to my colleagues which was the problem and that a solution needs to be found urgently. I asked them for their help in providing possible solutions as any idea could be useful. When we realized which was the cause of the problem, we tested the possible solutions until the problem was finally solved. One of the problems was the fact that it was the first time my team faced this problem and pressure in finding a solution. Working under pressure it could be quite difficult especially when it is the about customer satisfaction. Although the problem was major, we had to find a solution in a short period of time. Understanding the problem we were facing, I spent time in finding the cause of the system error and in finding solution, describing the others the situation and determing my colleagues in finding a solution. The teamwork result was the actual solution found for the system problem. More than that, each member of the team understood that teamwork is the key of great results. I think that this is the most important result achieved by my team.
