THERE ARE TWO CONTROL CHARTS ON EACH SHEET: THE TOP CHART is a graph or the actual individual data points. THE BOTTOM CHART is a graph of the moving range (i.e., the absolute value of the difference between adjacent points).
Control Tests (Click the boxes to turn the markers on and off.)
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 >3 from centerline 8 pts on same side of centerline 6 pts in row all increasing or decreasing 14 pts in row alternating up and down 2 of 3 pts > 2 from centerline on same side 4 of 5 pts > 1 from centerline on same side 15 pts in row within 1 of centerline on either side 8 pts in row more than 1 from centerline on either side
The MEAN, upper control limit (UCL), and lower control limit (LCL) are all based on only the first few data points. To change the number of data points used in the calculation, enter your value here. If your value is greater than the number of data points then all of the data points will be used.
