siddham iti veditavyam. Narakev iva narakavat. Katha siddha? naraka-pldi-darane tai ca bdhane. Yath hi narakeu nrak naraka-pldi-darana dea-kla-niyamena siddha. vavyasyasaparvatdy-gamana-gamana-darana cty di-grahaena. Sarve ca nikasyiva. Tai ca tad bdhana siddham, asatsv api naraka-pldiu; samnasvakarmavipkdhipatyt. Tathnyatrpi sarvam etad dea-kla-niyamdi catutaya siddham iti veditavya. Ki puna kraa, naraka-pls te ca vno vyas ca sattv nyante? Ayogt: (a) Na hi te nrak yujyante, tathiva tad-dukhpratisavedant. Paraspara ytayatm ime nrak, ime naraka-pl iti vyavasth na syt. Tulykti-prama-baln ca paraspara ytayat na tath bhaya syt. Dha-dukha ca pradptym ayomayy bhmv asahamn, katha tatra parn ytayeyu? (b) Anrak v narake kuta sabhava? Katha tvat tirac svarga-sabhava? Eva narakeu tiryak-pretavie naraka-pldn sabhava syt.

Tirac sabhava svarge yath, na narake tath; na pretn yatas taj-ja dukha nnubhavanti te.

Ye hi tiryaca svarge sabhavanti, te (tad-bhjanaloka-sukha-savartanyena karma tatra sabhts) taj-ja sukha pratyanubhavanti. Na civa naraka-pldayo nraka dukha pratyanubhavanti; tasmn na tirac sabhavo yukto, npi pretnm. Te tarhi nrak karmabhis tatra bhta-vie sabhavanti, varkti-prama-bala-vii ye naraka-pldi-saj pratilabhante. Tath ca pariamanti, yad vividh hasta-vikepdi-kriy kurvanto dyante, bhaytpdanrtha. Yath mektaya parvat gacchanto gacchanto; ya-lmal-vane ca kaak adhomukh-bhavanta rddhvamukh-bhavanta cti. Na te na sabhavanty eva! 6. Yadi tat-karmabhis tatra bhtn sabhavas tath, iyate parima ca ki vijnasya nyate?

Vijnasyiva tat-karmabhis tath parima kasmn nyate, ki punar bhtni kalpyante? Api ca: 7. Karmao vsannyatra, phalam anyatra kalpyate. Tatriva nyate, yatra vsan ki nu kraa?

Yena hi karma nrak tatra tdo bhtn sabhava kalpyate, parima ca: tasya karmao vsan te vijna-satna-sanivi, nnyatra! Yatriva ca vsan, tatriva tasy phala (tdo vijna-parima) ki nyate? Yatra vsan nsti, tatra tasy phala kalpyata iti kim atra kraa? gama kraa. Yadi vijnam eva rpdi-pratibhsa syn, na rpdiko rthas, tad rpdy-yatanstitva Bhagavat nkta syt! A-kraam etad, yasmt 8. Rpdy-yatanstitva tadvineya-jana prati abhiprya-vad uktam, upapduka-sattvavat.

Yathsti sattva upapduka ity ukta Bhagavat,6 abhiprya-vac citta-satatyanucchedam yatym abhipretya; Nstha sattva, tm v. Dharms tv ete sa-hetuk7 iti vacant. Eva rpdy-yatanstitvam apy ukta Bhagavat, tad-dean-vineya-janam adhiktyty bhipryika tad vacana.

Yadi nnya paramubhya pia iyate, na te tasyti siddha bhavati. Saniveaparikalpa ea: paramu, saghta iti v. Kim anay cintay, lakaa tu rpdi yadi na pratiidhyate? Ki punas te lakaa? Cakur-di-viayatva nlditva ca. Tad evda sapradhryate! Yat tac cakurdn viayo nla-ptdikam iyate, ki tad eka dravyam, atha v tad anekam? iti. Ki cta? Anekatve doa ukta. 15. Ekatve na krametir, yugapan na grahgrahau, vicchinnneka-vtti ca, skmnk ca no bhavet. Yadi yvad avicchinna, nneka cakuo viayas tad eka dravya kalpyate: Pthivy krametir na syd. (Gamanam ity artha.) Sakt pda-kepea sarvasya gatatvt. Arvgbhgasya ca grahaa, parabhgasya cgrahaa yugapan na syt. Na hi tasyiva tadn grahaa cgrahaa ca yuktam. Vicchinnasya cnekasya hasty-avdikasynekatra8 vttir na syd. Yatriva hy eka, tatrivparam iti katha tayor viccheda iyate? Katha v tad eka, yat prpta ca tbhy, na ca prptam: antarle tac-chnya-grahat? Skm cudaka-jantn sthlai samna-rpm ankaa na syd. Yadi lakaa-bhedd eva dravyntaratva kalpyate, nnyath, tasmd avaya paramuo bheda kalpayitavya. Sa ciko na sidhyati! Tasysiddhau rpdn cakurdi-viayatvam asiddham iti siddha vijaptimtra bhavatti. Idam ajpaka, yasmt Svapna-dg viaybhva nprabuddho vagacchati. Eva vitatha-vikalpbhysa-vsan-nidray prasupto loka svapna ivbhtam artha payann aprabuddhas tad-abhva yathvan nvagacchati. Yad tu tatpratipaka-lokttaranirvikalpajna-lbht prabuddho bhavati, tad tat-pha-labdha-uddhlaukika9-jnasamukh-bhvd viaybhva yathvad avagacchatti samnam etat. Yadi sva-satna-parima-vied eva sattvnm artha-pratibhs vijaptaya utpadyante, nrthaviet tad ya ea ppa-kalya-mitrasaparkt sad-asad-dharma-ravac ca vijapti-niyama sattvn, sa katha sidhyati? Asati sad-asat-saparke, tad-deany ca! 18. Anyonydhipatitvena vijapti-niyamo mitha. Sarve hi sattvnm anyonya-vijapty-dhipatyena mitho vijapter niyamo bhavati yathyoga. (Mitha iti parasparata.) Ata satnntara-vijapti-viet satnntare vijapti-viea utpadyate, nrtha-viet. Yadi, yath svapne, nirarthik vijaptir eva jgrato 'pi syt kasmt kualkuala-samudcre suptsuptayos tulya phalam iniam yaty na bhavati? Yasmt Middhenpahata citta svapne; tensama phala.
