The Cheap PVPer's Handbook Before I write anything else I want to note that i'm NOT a full-scale PVP

pilot. I had some lessons, had my time in both k-space and w-space 0.0 and saw a few tricks, but i'm far from being a trained pvp pilot. I only want to pass on some fittings that are rather cheap while still packing a decent punch so that pilots that are new to the business can make their first steps without facing bankrupcy. Let's start with frigates they're cheap, fast and yet very useful. One might think that a 1m SP pilot is useless for pvp, but give him a fast tackle frigate and you'll get a fast point on your target while you can focus on damage/tank on your main attack ship. Those are the frig fits I currently employ for lowlevel pilots: Tackle Incursus: [Incursus, cheap tackle] Overdrive Injector System I Nanofiber Internal Structure I Stasis Webifier I 1MN Afterburner I Warp Disruptor I Small Nosferatu I Salvager I [empty high slot] Small Auxiliary Thrusters I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I [empty rig slot] Hobgoblin II x1 costs you approx 2-3m can't get any cheaper than that. cap stability isn't that bad either, all V get it up to 57% - propulsion jamming skill is the secret. pilots with low skills are probably unstable, but then the NOS can work best draining the targets cap as long as possible. Sure, it's not the win-button with engines and guns but it might tip the scales in your favor.

Jamming Griffin: [Griffin, EWAR cheap] Signal Distortion Amplifier I ECM - White Noise Generator I ECM - Phase Inverter I Cap Recharger I 1MN MicroWarpdrive I Rocket Launcher I, Thorn Rocket Rocket Launcher I, Thorn Rocket [empty high slot] Small Particle Dispersion Augmentor I Small Particle Dispersion Projector I [empty rig slot] Hornet II x1 as with the previous one: cheap as f*ck but with a little luck at jamming you can really annoy your target, especially since this baby can jam at 33km even without skills with a day invested you can sit at 40 or 50 and he might not even notice you until he gets jammed. Most expensive part here are the rigs, but they're pretty necessary to increase jam strength.

When it comes to low SP chars most of them can only fly frigs of their own race so if you have one of these pilots around just adapt the tackle fit. And if one of them really likes Frigates then put him in a T2 frig Ishkurs and Jaguars for raw dps or a Vengeance for some serious tank.

Well, on to Cruisers, first is a rather cheap EWAR ship again Jamming Blackbird: [Blackbird, EWAR BB cheap] Signal Distortion Amplifier I Signal Distortion Amplifier I ECM - Phase Inverter I ECM - Phase Inverter I ECM - Spatial Destabilizer I ECM - White Noise Generator I Medium Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 100 10MN MicroWarpdrive I Assault Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile Medium Energy Neutralizer I Medium Particle Dispersion Augmentor I Medium Particle Dispersion Projector I Medium Particle Dispersion Projector I 88km optimal with some skills, 7.7 jam strength. The MWD is for keeping distance (you don't want to get shot at) and the assault launchers + Neut are for fighting off Frigates. -150 cap per cycle stops them dead in their tracks. Make sure to use Faction jammers because of their greater jam strength. try to anticipate or get intel on the ships your enemies use. Minmatar is always a good choice, as well as amarr; the other ones aren't that often seen on the battlefield (especially gallente). If you have the money upgrade to meta jammers for more power; and you an swap the cap booster for a sensor booster w/ targeting range script for max-range-jamming.

Next one is a bit more expensive: Blaster Thorax: [Thorax, 1600 + Meds] 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Damage Control II Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Warp Scrambler II Anode Electron Particle Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Anode Electron Particle Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Anode Electron Particle Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Anode Electron Particle Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Anode Electron Particle Cannon I, Antimatter Charge M Medium Ancillary Current Router I Medium Trimark Armor Pump I Medium Trimark Armor Pump I Hammerhead II x5 One of the few occasions where I actually use Hammerhead / medium drones. with 37k EHP at lvl 5 this is a tough one to chew through, especially when it's firing back at you with 400 dps! Average pilots still achieve 35k / 360 dps, but that comes with a pricetag of 30-40m.

Aaand we get to Battlecruisers! This is one of my favourites, almost killed an Ishtar with it until his friend decided to show up in a Dominix with sentries. [Hurricane, DarkFusion Terror Shortrange WH] Gyrostabilizer II Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Armor Explosive Hardener II Process-Interruptive Warp Disruptor Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 400 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Assault Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M 425mm AutoCannon I, EMP M Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Nanobot Accelerator I Medium Projectile Collision Accelerator I Hobgoblin II x5 originally it was a lvl3 missionrunner fit with artys I found on Battleclinic, but with time I modified it into the thing you see here. The Dualrep makes sure your fight will be short anyway, but while it's up you get a 290 dps tank at all V. Pops standard Frigates like nothing and for most people the dualrep is the real surprise. Bottomline: it served me well in the past, it might do the same for you or I just got lucky all the time. for added cap stability switch a rep for another gyrostab moar dps, less tank.
