INSTRUCTIONS FOR VISITING STUDENTS

A visiting student is one who will not be pursuing a degree at OTC and who is: 1) Currently enrolled at another college or university and plans to take only a limited number of courses at OTC to transfer back to his/her home college/university. 2) Has completed a degree from another higher education institution and will not be pursuing a degree at OTC. Pleae direct registration questions to 417-447-6900 or visitingstudent@otc.edu. TRANSCRIPTS Unofficial college transcripts and/or current placement test scores must accompany the agreement form when registering for classes which have prerequisites. REGISTRATION Visit www.otc.edu to view the course schedule. Go to the Class Schedules link on the homepage. Complete the agreement form with the classes you wish to register for. Once your completed form has been received and prerequisites have been confirmed, the Advising Office will register you in your classes. It is your responsibility to verify that these documents have been received by the Advising Office. Required paperwork must be received no later than 4pm CST on the final day of late enrollment. To confirm your registration and total amount due, log into your MyOTC account. SMARTCARD All students are required to obtain an OTC SmartCard. For more information, go to:

MyOTC Once the agreement form has been received and processed, you will be granted access to your MyOTC account within 1 business day. MyOTC Login instructions: Go to www.otc.edu Click MyOTC Click Login Help to retrieve your username and password information. Courses will not appear on Blackboard until the first day of the term. Please direct MyOTC questions to the Help Desk at 417-447-7548 or helpdesk@otc.edu. PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS By registering for classes, you accept responsibility for payment of all tuition and fees due to the college. You must make tuition payment arrangements by your final fee payment deadline to hold class registration. Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid or the A+ scholarship. Beginning the first day of the semester/term, a $10 fee will be assessed for a change of schedule (excluding a change in time or day for the same course, if processed on campus). Scheduling for courses obligates the student to all tuition and fees associated with those courses. Please familiarize yourself with the refund schedule in the event it becomes necessary to drop a class(es). If you decide to stop attending classes, it is your responsibility to officially drop or withdraw by completing the appropriate form and having it processed through Student Services. If you are dropping all current classes you must complete and have processed a Withdrawal From All Classes form available in the Student Services office at any OTC campus or education center by the published deadline. Enrollment in courses is contingent upon course availability and the successful completion and documentation of prerequisites, if necessary. You are responsible for dropping courses for which you have not met the prerequisites.

By signing this agreement form, I affirm that my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information referred to and listed above. I agree to comply with the guidelines set forth in the OTC Computer Use Agreement and the OTC Student Handbook. A copy of these agreements may be obtained at www.otc.edu.
