By Any Means Necessary: Ballots or Bullets

Whether they call themselves Liberal Democrats, progressives, socialists, communists, or Marxist, they are all philosophically driven by a common conceptual underpinning, which is collectivism. To one degree or another they all share the common ideology that individual liberty should give way to the interest of the social collective. They disguise and justify their increasing pursuit of power and control with clever phrases like, "it's to protect the children", "it's in the interest of public safety", or "it's for the promotion of social justice". Their interference in our daily life seems to have no boundary. Whether it's telling us that we cannot put salt on our French fries, cannot eat cheeseburgers, cannot ride without helmets, cannot drive without seatbelts, cannot refuse to buy healthcare insurance, cannot retain references to God in the Pledge of Allegiance, or cannot defend ourselves from attack, they are quite happy to paternalistically dictate all of us how we should live. The latest assault comes by way of an article in Time magazine suggesting the United States Constitution is outdated, and no longer has relevance in a modern context. Really? Those promoting these views are traitors and enemies of the United States of America. They mean to strip you of your constitutional liberties, and bring the entire population under centralized governmental authority, which they of course will retain control of in perpetuity. Ask yourself why members of both parties have sought to nationalize the US banking system, to take control of the US auto industry, to take control of the entire US healthcare system, to limit your rights under the First Amendment, and to abolish your constitutional guarantees under the Second Amendment altogether? Why has this government sanctioned the trafficking of thousands of assault weapons into Mexico resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocent Mexican citizens and American law enforcement? Could it be that rather than tracking the movements of drug cartels, they wish to bolster their case for passing new laws to limit your rights under the Second Amendment? What is their motive? What is their purpose? Do you really believe they're acting in your best interest? Government officials, on both sides of the aisle, routinely ignore the Constitution as if it were simply an inconvenient afterthought offered up by men who could not have possibly understood or foreseen its relevance for the modern human condition. The world is replete with examples of collectivist driven dictators who seized power for life under the guise of acting in the best interest of their people as a whole. One can list them without great effort: Cuba, Venezuela, Libya, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, China, and Russia just to name a few. Is that really the model the people of this country wish to follow? Recalling the sentiment of Malcolm X during the early days of the civil rights movement, If the people of this country do not drive these traders from office with ballots, you will eventually find yourself having to drive them from power with bullets because if they are successful, they will first take your bullets and then they will take your ballots!
