My Fit Foods, St. Lukes The Woodlands and Lakeside Hospitals and Pathfinder Pediatric Home Care, Inc. Agree To Title Sponsorships For The Woodlands Marathon
THE WOODLANDS (June 19, 2011) The Woodlands Marathon Management, LLC and Launch Multisport is proud to announce My Fit Foods as the title sponsor of the My Fit Foods The Woodlands Marathon from 2012-2014. will traverse The Woodlands community. My Fit Foods is a perfect fit for this type of event and we are very pleased with the three-year commitment, said Rick Frank, Executive Director of Launch Multisport. This is very thrilling for us to come out of the box in the first couple of months with a title sponsor for the marathon. We could not be more excited. St. Lukes Lakeside Hospital and St. Lukes The Woodlands Hospital have been named as the title sponsor for The Woodlands Half Marathon for 2012. The 13.1-mile half marathon event will offer a minimum $8,700 prize purse in its first year. The St. Lukes Half Marathon will be a single loop course throughout The Woodlands. St. Lukes The Woodlands Hospital, a 150-private-bed, nonprofit hospital, is part of St. Lukes Episcopal Health System. Participants in the 2K Fun Run Walk will be the last to start the days races, but will be the first to cross the finish line. Pathfinder Pediatric Home Care, Inc. has fifteen plus years experience in serving the special needs children of Texas. After being involved in both geriatric and pediatric home health and rehabilitation clinics, they realized that pediatric patients, caregivers, and clinicians need and deserve a specialty program designed to meet the many challenges specific to pediatric care. They focus on providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to the underserved youth of Texas, and strive to provide families with the best possible care.

As title sponsors, and in conjunction with Launch Challenge, a program through which athletes and participants raise funds for designated charities, My Fit Foods, St. Lukes and Pathfinder Pediatric Home Care may select a beneficiary for the program. My Fit Foods has selected the American Diabetes Association and Pathfinder Pediatric has designated Westview School as their beneficiaries. St. Lukes beneficiary will be announced shortly. The other beneficiaries to date include the Halls Steps Foundation and Interfaith of the Woodlands with a goal of designating a total of seven beneficiaries in addition to making donations back to volunteer groups for their support of the event. Launch Multisport has earmarked $40,000 for these beneficiaries and volunteer groups in the first year.
