Event Details
More than 140 NCC units from 127 schools will take part in this significant event on 23 June, to celebrate National Cadet Corps 110th anniversary Celebrations NCC cadets will run in a relay route from different schools and sectors of Singapore, to the final point at HQNCC Campus, covering a total distance of more than 280km Guest-of-Honour, BG Tung Yui Fai, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Army, will be joining us at the last leg of relay, to end at HQNCC, where all cadets will be in formation making the numbers 110, to honour our 110th Celebrations The relay will start running at as early as 6.00am in the morning, and end at HQNCC Campus by 6.30pm

This is not a Competitive Race There are NO road closures All runners are advised to run closely together at a comfortable pace All runners are to follow all traffic rules (advised to follow traffic directions)

Safety Vehicle, Ambulance and Mobile Out-rider


There will be at least one safety vehicle following each respective relay route (total 4 relay routes) Safety Vehicle will carry Emergency Overhead Siren Light, Medical equipment, Marshals equipment and water Water points are not provided between schools En-route marshals from safety car has the right to interrupt the run at all times, all runners are to abide to instructions from safety marshals The Run may be interrupted with bad weather conditions (no running if wet weather with Cat 1 lighting) There will at least be one Auxiliary Police Officer on mobile bike following each respective relay route at all times (2 APOs are catered to each route) There are ambulances with sports paramedic catered for the entire event

Whos Running?
10 Runners from each school 10 runners may consist of different age group and may include teacher/instructor Runners to don uniformed running tees or jerseys

Run as a group (2 in a row) Best Runner of the group to run as back sweeper Best knowledge of route to lead the pack Front runner to carry NCC Flag Slowest runner to run behind leader

DOs and DONTs

Do Conduct a Water Parade 30mins before the RUN Do check if all your cadets are in good health conditions Do check if all your cadets are in proper running gear/shoes Do carry NCC flag with Pride, Flag to be in upright position at all times Do not start running until Safety Officer permits Do stop running if any of the cadets should feel unwell, safety vehicle will pick up casualty, do listen to instructions from safety officer if the rest may continue 7. Do follow all traffic rules and regulations 8. Do stop running if there should be emergencies or obstacles en-route, Safety officer and marshals will guide you on a diverted route 9. Do not disturb or disrupt public and pedestrians (you are in publics eye) 10.Do Not Run if you, representative or any cadets had not attended the Event Brief
