Bridgestone Corporation was founded in 1931 by Shojiro Ishibashi to manufacture tyres in Japan. In 1938 Bridgestone began to apply our knowledge of rubber technology to diversified (non tyre) products including industrial rubber and chemical products. Today, Bridgestone is the World's largest rubber manufacturing company and diversified products account for approximately 20% of turnover. Diversified products are sold in 150 nations and manufacturing facilities are located in five countries. Throughout every phase of operations, a strict quality control program helps to ensure the superior quality of Bridgestone products. In the 1960's Shojiro Ishibashi said that "Quality Products Will Always Be Welcomed", this is a true today as it ever was. Bridgestone Engineered Products of Asia Sdn Bhd (BSEA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, was incorporated in 1995 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to distribute Bridgestones range of marine and industrial products in South East Asia and Oceania. All marine and industrial products are engineered to satisfy specific customer requirements. To exceed our customer expectations in each region we serve, BSEA has established a branch office in Australia; a conveyor maintenance company in Jakarta and a liaison office in New Delhi. These local companies provide technical and commercial support, applications design to match product to purpose and on site engineering services. Additional technical expertise, and field engineering support is provided by Bridgestone Engineered Products Engineering Department in Kuala Lumpur; backed by our research and development division in Yokohama, Japan.

Established in 1995, more than 25 engineers support our sales network around the world. Bridgestone Engineered Products's Engineering Department offer a range of services, using the latest tools: Engineering Design Applications engineering to select the optimum design for each requirement. Field Advisory Services Failure and Fault Analysis - Identifying the root cause and solution. Site Inspection and Supervision - monitoring quality and performance. Analysis Capabilities Today market demands a shorter development life cycle. Yet, Bridgestone's insistence on providing the best quality never fades. We have since been embracing some of the latest analysis tools in our R&D efforts.
