HE SAID, THEN, THAT a "lioness came up from the sea", and by that he meant the K
INGDOM OF THE BABYLONIANS in the world , which also was the head of gold on the
image.
In saying that " it had wings of an eagle", he meant that NEBUCHADNEZZER the ki
ng was lifted up and exalted before GOD. Then he says " the wings thereof were p
lucked" , that is to say that his glory was destroyed; for he was driven out of
the kingdom. And the words, " a mans heart was given unto it, and it was made to
stand upon the feet as a man, " refer to the fact that he repented and recognis
ed hiself to be only a man, and gave the glory to GOD.
Then after the lioness, he sees a " second beast like a bear",and that denoted t
he PERSIANS. After the BABYLONIANS, the PERSIANS beheld a sovereign power. And i
n saying that there were "three ribs in the mouth of it", he pointed to three na
tions, the PERSIANS, MEDES, and the BABYLONIANS; which were also represented on
the image by the silver after the gold. Then there was a "third beast, a leopard
", which meant the GREEKS. After the PERSIANS, Alexzander of MACEDON obtained th
e sovereign power on subverting DARIUS, as is also shown by the brass on the ima
ge,. And in saying that it had "four wings of a foul", he taught us most clearly
how the KINGDOM of ALEXZANDER was partitioned. For in speaking of " four heads"
, he made mention of the four KINGS, those who arose out of that kingdom. ALEXZ
ANDER , when dying, partitioned out of his kingdom into four divisions.
THEN HE SAYS: " A FOURTH BEAST , DREADFUL AND TERRIBLE; IT HAD IRON TEETH AND CL
AWS OF BRASS". And who are these but the ROMANS? which (kingdom) is meant by the
iron_ the kingdom which is now established; for the legs of that (image) were o
f iron. And after this, what remains , beloved, but the toes of the feet of the
image , in which part is iron and part clay, mixed together? Daniel 7:8 ( I CONS
IDERED THE HORNS , AND BEHOLD THERE CAME UP AMONG THEM ANOTHER LITTLE HORN, BEFO
RE WHOM THERE WERE THREE OF THE FIRST HORNS PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOTS: AND, BEHOLD
IN THIS HORN WERE EYES LIKE THE EYES OF MAN, AND A MOUTH SPEAKING GREAT THINGS.
) And under this was signified none other than the ANTICHRIST, WHO IS ALSO HIMS
ELF TO RAISE THE KINGDOM OF THE JEWS. He says that the three horns are plucked
up by the root of him, the three kings of EGYPT, LIBYA, and ETHIOPIA , whom he c
uts off in the array of battles, and HE after gaining terrible power over all, b
eing nevertheless a tyrant, shall stir up tribulation and persecution against me

The Stone will come from HEAVEN which smites the image, and breaks it in pieces,
and subverts all the kingdoms, and gives the kingdoms to the saints of the MOST
HIGH. This is the stone which becomes a great mountain, and fills the whole ear
th. Daniel 7:13-14 ( I SAW IN THE NIGHT VISIONS , AND, BEHOLD, ONE LIKE THE SON
OF MAN CAME WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN, AND CAME TO THE ANCIENT OF DAYS, AND THEY

"KINGDOMS," not "NATION" The "nation of the Jews exists now, but will not become
a "kingdom" until the JEWS recognize their MESSIAH and anoint HIM as KING. YOU
SHOULD BEWARE!. The Jews could easily establish the "office" of messiah first. T
hat office could be occupied by a succession of individuals before the ANTICHRI
ST finally succeeds in GOD, and thereby becoming the "ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION"

FOUND FOR THEM: AND THE STONE THAT SMOTE THE IMAGE BECAME A GREAT MOUNTAIN, AND
FILLED THE WHOLE EARTH.) He showed all power given by the FATHER to the SON, who
is ordained Lord of things in heaven, things on earth, and things under the ear
th, and JUDGE of all: of things in heaven because HE was born , the Word of God
, before all ages, and of things of earth, because he became man in the midst o
f men, to re-create ADAM through himself; and of things under the earth, because
HE was also reckoned among the dead, preaching the gospel to the souls of the s
aints, (and) by death overcoming death.
As these things, then , are in the future, and as the ten toes of the image are
equivalent to (so many) democracies, and the ten horns of the fouth beast are di
stributed over ten kingdoms. The golden head of the image ande the lioness denot
ed the BABYLONIANS; the shoulders and arms of silver, and the bear represented t
he PERSIANS and MEDES; the belly and thighs of brass, and the leopard meant the
GREEKS, who held sovereignty from ALEXZANDER'S time; the legs of iron, and the b
east dreadful and terrible expressed the ROMANS, who hold sovereignty at this pr
esent time; the toes of the feet which were part clay and part iron, and the ten
horns, were emblems of the kingdoms that are yet to rise; the other little horn
that grows among them meant the ANTICHRIST in their midst; the stone that smit
es the earth and brings judgement upon the world was YESHUA ( our KING).
THESE THINGS, BELOVED, WE IMPART TO YOU WITH FEAR, AND YET READILY, ON ACCOUNT O

NOW ASK YOURSELF
Are not the things come to pass? Are not the things announced by thee fulfilled?
Is not their country, Judea, desolate? Is not the Holy Place burned with fire?
Are not the walls cast down? Are not their cities destroyed? Their land, do not
strangers devour it? Do not the Romans rule the country? And indeed these impiou
s people hated Thee, and did saw Thee asunder, and they crucified the saviour .
Thou art dead in the world, but thou livest through CHRIST. Which of you, then,
shall I esteem more than Thee? Yet Jeremiah, too, is stoned. But if I should est
eem Jeremiah most, yet Daniel too has his testimony. Daniel, I commend thee abov
e all; yet John too gives no false witness. With how many mouths and tongues wou
ld I praise you; or rather the WORD who spake in you! Ye died with our Father, a
nd Ye will live with our Father. Hear Ye, and rejoice; behold the things announc
ed by you have fulfilled in their time. For Ye saw these things byourselves firs
t, and the Ye proclaimed them to all generations.
Ye ministerd the Oracles Of God to all generations. Ye prophets were called, tha
t Ye might be ableto save all. For then is one a prophet indeed, when having ano
ounced beforetime things about to be, he can afterwards show that they have actu
ally happend. Ye were desciples of a good master. These words I address to you a
s if alive , and with propriety. For Ye hold already the crown of life and immor
tality which is laid up for you in HEAVEN.
Speak with me O Blessed Daniel. Give me full assurance, I beseech thee. Thou dos
t prophesy concerning the LIONESS OF BABYLON, for thou wast a captive there. tho
u hast unfolded the future regarding the bear; for thou wast still in the world,
and didst see the things come to pass. Then thou speakest to me of the leopard;
and whence, canst thou know this, for thou art already gone to thy rest? Who in
structed thee to announce these things, but He who formed thee in (from) thy mot
her's womb? That is God, thou sayest. Thou hast spoken indeed, and that not fals
ely. The leopard has arisen; the he-goat is come; he hath stamped upon himwith h
is feet, He has been exalted by his fall; (the) four horns have come up from und
er that one. Rejoice, blessed Daniel! Thou hast not been in error: all these thi
ngs have come to pass.
After this again thou hast told me of the beast dreadful and terrible. {as descr

Already the iron rules; already it subdues and breaks all in pieces; already it
brings all the unwilling to subjection; already we see these things ourselves. N
ow we glorify GOD, being instructed by Thee.
but as the task before us was to speak of the harlot, be thou with us, O Blessed
Isaiah. Lets us mark what thou sayest about Babylon.

Isaiah 47 :1-15 ( Come down, and sit in the dust, O Virgin daughter daughter of

the earth have committed fornication, and the inhaitants of the earth have been

f names of blasphemy, having seven heads, and ten horns. And the woman was array
ed in purple and scarlet colour, and deck with gold and precious stones, and pea
rls, and having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of
her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE
GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman
drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yesh
ua { Jesus}; and when I saw her, I wonderd with great admiration. And the angel
said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell the the mystery of the wo
man, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horn
s. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the botto
mless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on earth shall wonder, who
se names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world,
when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the min
d which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sit
teth.)
Having just quoted one of the most obvious OLD TESTAMENT parabolic statements co
ncerning this present civilization as the Harlot Babylon ( Isaiah 47:1-15) The v
ision John saw concerning the destruction of this realm at the end, His point wi
ll be lost to the one who fails to understand the parables of the Prophets. MYST
ERY BABYLON IS THE CIVILIZATION OF THIS WORLD. One could argue from the text i
s referring to the Roman Government that banished John to the Isle of Patmos. Th
at overlooks entirely his understanding of the OLD TESTAMENT parabolic imagery.
John is referring to this world's government, and the civilization under its dom
inion.
Revelations 17:10-18 ( And there were seven kings: five are fallen, and one is,
and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short spac
e. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seve
n , and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten Kings,
which has recieved no Kingdom as yet; but recieve power as Kings one hour with
the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the
beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: fo
r the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings: and they that are with him are called, a
nd chosen, and faithful. And he sayeth unto me, the water which thou sawest, whe
re the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And
the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and
shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with f
ire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill HIS will, and to agree, and giv
e their kingdom unto the beast, until the WORDS OF GOD SHALL BE FULFILLED. And t
he woman which thou sawest is that GREAT CITY, which reigneth over the Kings of
the earth.)
Revelations 18:1-24 ( AND AFTER THESE THINGS I SAW ANOTHER ANGEL COME DOWN FROM
HEAVEN, HAVING GREAT POWER; AND THE EARTH WAS LIGHTEND WITH HIS GLORY. AND HE C
RIED MIGHTILY WITH A STRONG VOICE , SAYING, BABYLON THE GREAT IS FALLEN, IS FALL
EN , AND IS BECOME THE HABITATION OF DEVILS, AND THE HOLD OF EVERY FOWL SPIRIT,
AND THE CAGE OF EVERY UNCLEAN AND HATEFUL BIRD. FOR ALL NATIONS HAVE DRUNK OF TH
E WINEOF THE WRATH OF HER FORNICATION, AND THE KINGS OF THE EARTH HAVE COMMITTED
FORNICATION WITH HER, AND THE MERCHANTS OF THE EARTH WERE WAXED RICH THROUGH TH
E ABUNDANCE OF HER DELICACIES. AND I HEARD ANOTHER VOICE FROM HEAVEN, SAYING, CO
ME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, THAT YE NOT BE PARTAKERS OF HER SINS, AND THAT YE RECE
IVE NOT OF HER PLAGUES. FOR HER SINS HAVE REACHED UNTO HEAVEN, AND GOD HATH REME
MBERD HER INIQUITIES. REWARD HER EVEN AS SHE REWARDED YOU, AND DOUBLE UNTO HER D
OUBLE ACCORDING TO HER WORKS: IN THE CUP WHICH SHE HATH FILLED, FILL TO HER DOUB
LE. HOW MUCH SHE HATH GLORIFIED HERSELF, AND LIVED DELICIOUSLY, SO MUCH TORMENT
AND SORROW GIVE HER: FOR SHE SAYETH IN HER HEART, I SIT A QUEEN, AND AM NO WIDOW

D MOURN OVER HER; FOR NO MAN BUYETH THEIR MERCHANDISE ANY MORE: THE MERCHANDISE
OF GOLD, AND SILVER, AND PRECIOUS STONES, AND OF PEARLS, AND FINE LINEN, AND PUR
PLE, AND SILK, AND SCARLET, AND ALL THYINE WOOD, AND ALL MANNER VESSELS OF IVORY
, AND ALL MANNER VESSELS OF MOST PRECIOUS WOOD, AND OF BRASS, AND IRON, AND MARB
EL, AND CINNAMON, AND ODOURS, AND OINTMENTS, AND FRANKINCENSE, AND WINE, AND OIL
, AND FINE FLOUR, AND WHEAT, AND BEASTS , AND SHEEP, AND HORSES, AND CHARIOTS, A
ND SALVES, AND SOULS OF MEN. AND THE FRUITS THAT THY SOUL LUSTED AFTER ARE DEPAR
TED FROM THEE, AND ALL THINGS WHICH ARE DAINTY AND GOODLY ARE DEPARTED FROM THEE
, AND THOU SHALT FIND THEM NO MORE AT ALL. THE MERCHANTS OF THESE THINGS, WHICH
WERE MADE RICH BY HER, SHALL STAND AFAR OFF FOR THE FEAR OF HER TORMENT, WEEPING
AND WAILING, AND SAYING , ALAS, ALAS THAT GREAT CITY , THAT WAS CLOTHED IN FINE
LINEN, AND PURPLE ,AND SCARLET, AND DECKED WITH GOLD, AND PRECIOUS STONES AND P

FAR OFF, AND CRIED WHEN THEY SAW THE SMOKE OF HER BURNING, SAYING, WHAT CITY IS
LIKE UNTO THIS GREAT CITY! AND THEY CAST DUST ON THEIR HEADS, AND CRIED WEEPING
AND WAILING, SAYING, ALAS,ALAS, THAT GREAT CITY, WHEREIN WERE MADE RICH ALL THAT
HAD SHIPS IN THE SEA BY REASON OF HER COSTLINEESS! FOR IN ONE HOUR SHE IS MADE
DESOLATE. REJOICE OVER HER, THOU HEAVEN, AND YE HOLY APOSTLES AND PROPHETS; FOR
GOD HATH AVENGED YOU ON HER. AND A MIGHTY ANGEL TOOK UP A STONE, LIKE A GREAT MI
LLSTONE, AND CAST IT INTO THE SEA ,SAYING, THUS WITH VIOLENCE SHALL THAT GREAT C
ITY BABYLON BE THROWN DOWN, AND SHALL BE FOUND NO MORE AT ALL. AND THE VOICE OF
HARPERS, AND MUSICIANS, AND OF PIPERS, AND TRUMPETERS, SHALL BE HEARD NO MORE AT
ALL IN THEE; AND NO CRAFTSMAN, OF WHATSOEVER CRAFT HE BE, SHALL BE FOUND ANY MO
RE IN THEE; AND THE SOUND OF THE MILLSTONE SHALL BE HEARD NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE
; AND THE LIGHT OF A CANDLE SHALL SHINE NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE; AND THE VOICE OF
THE BRIDEGROOM, AND OF THE BRIDE SHALL BE HEARD NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE: FOR THY
MERCHANTS WERE THE GREAT MEN ON EARTH; FOR BY THEIR SOCERIES WERE ALL NATIONS D
ECEIVED. AND IN HER WAS FOUND THE BLOOD OF PROPHETS, AND OF SAINTS, AND OF ALL T
HAT WERE SLAIN UPON THE EARTH.)
With respect, then, to the particular judgement in THE TORMENTS THAT ARE TO COM
E UPON IT IN THE LAST TIMES BY THE HAND OF THE TYRANTS WHO SHALL ARISE THEN, the
clearest statement has been given in these passages. But it becomes us further
diligently to examine and set forth the period at which these things shall come
to pass, and how the little horn shall spring up in their midst. When the legs o
f iron, have issued in the feet and toes, according to the simlitude of the imag
e, and that of the terrible beast, that was described earlier on. ( Then shall b
e the time) when the iron , and the clay shall be mingled together. Daniel 9:27
( AND HE SHALL CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY FOR ONE WEEK: AND IN THE MIDST OF
THE WEEK HE SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, AND FOR THE OVE
RSPREADING OF ABOMINATIONS HE SHALL MAKE IT DESOLATE, EVEN UNTIL THE CONSUMMATIO
N, AND THAT DERTERMINED SHALL BE POURED UPON THE DESOLATE.)
Therefore Daniel meant the last week which to be at the end of this world; of wh
ich week the two prophets ENOCH, and ELIJAH will take up the half. They will pr
each 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth, proclaiming repentance to the people, and
to all nations. Two advents of our Lord and Saviour are indicated in the scriptu
res, the one being His first advent in the flesh, which took place without honou
r by reason of His being set at nought, as Isaiah spoke of him saying. ( WHO HAT
H BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM IS THE ARM OF THE LORD REVEALED? FOR HE SHALL
GROW UP BEFORE HIM AS A TENDER PLANT, AND AS A ROOT OUT OF A DRY GROUND: HE HAT
H NO FORM NOR COMLINESS; AND WHEN WE SHALL SEE HIM, THERE IS NO BEAUTY THAT WE S
HOULD DESIRE HIM. HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED OF MEN: A MAN OF SORROWS, AND AQUA
INTED WITH GRIEF: AND WE HID AS IT WERE OUR FACES FROM HIM; HE WAS DESPISED, AND
WE ESTEEMED HIM NOT. Isaiah 53:1-3 ).
But his second advent is announced as glorious, when HE shall come from Heaven w
ith the host of angels, and the Glory of his Father, as the prophet sayeth, " Ye
shall see the King in glory".
daniel 7:13-14 ( I SAW IN THE NIGHT VISIONS, AND BEHOLD, ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN
CAME WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN, AND CAME TO THE ANCIENT OF DAYS, AND THEY BROUG
HT HIM NEAR BEFORE HIM. AND THERE WAS GIVEN HIM DOMINION, AND GLORY, AND A KINGD
OM, THAT ALL PEOPLE, NATIONS, AND LANGUAGES, SHOULD SERVE HIM: HIS DOMINION IS A
N EVERLASTING DOMINION, WHICH SHALL NOT PASS AWAY, AND HIS KINGDOM THAT WHICH SH
ALL NOT BE DESTROYED.)
Isaiah 33:17 ( Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty: they shall behold th
e land that is very far off.)
John the Baptist is the forerunner, who proclaimed the first advent of Yeshua (J
esus), Elijah is the second forerunner, the one who announces his second advent.
I wonder how many today actually believe the passages where Yeshua (Jesus) said
Elijah would come? Even if you expected him, how would you know who he is? Yes
hua told you, "you shall know of THE TEACHING".
John 1:29 ( THE NEXT DAY JOHN SEETH YESHUA (Jesus) COMING UNTO HIM AND SAITH "BE
HOLD, THE LAMB OF GOD, WHICH TAKETH AWAY SIN FROM THE WORLD".)

REMEMBER, HE ALSO PREACHED TO THOSE IN HADES, BECOMING A FORERUNNER THERE, WHEN
HEROD PUT HIM TO DEATH, AND THERE TOO HE PRAYED THAT THE SAVIOUR WOULD DESCEND
INTO HELL TO RANSOM THE SOULS OF THE SAINTS FROM THE GRIP OF DEATH. And since th
e Saviour was the begining of the ressurrection of all men, it was meet that the
Lord alone should rise from the dead, by whom too the judgement is to enter the
whole world, that they who have wrestled worthily may be also crowned worthily
of him, by the illustrious Arbiter, to wit, who, Himself first accomplished the
course, and was received into the Heavens, and was sat down on the right hand of
GOD the FATHER, and is to be manifested again at the end of the world as JUDGE.

Then they shall come and proclaim the manifestation of our Saviour is to be from

o shame and return to repentance for their surpassing wickedness and impiety.

Revelation 11:4-7 ( These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks stan
ding before the GOD of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth
out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them,
he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain
not in the days of their prophecy: and have powers over waters, to turn them to
blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when
they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the b
ottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill the
m.)
WHAT DID THE PROPHET SAY? "THE BEAST THAT ASCENDETH OUT OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT SH
ALL MAKE WAR AGAINST THEM, AND SHALL OVERCOME THEM, AND KILL THEM". all because
they will not give glory to the ANTICHRIST, and for this is the reason why the l
ittle horn sprang up. He , now being elated in heart, begins to exalt himself, a
nd to Glorify himself as GOD by persecuting the saints and blaspheming the Savio
ur, even as Daniel says... " I considered the horn, and , behold, in the horn we
re like theeyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things; and he opened his mou
th to blaspheme GOD. And that horn made war against the saints, and prevailed ag
ainst them until the beast was slain, and perished, and body given to be burned.

THE HOLY SPIRIT ALSO MYSTICALLY INDICATED HIS NAME BY MEANS OF A NUMBER. JOHN TH
EN SPEAKS Revelations 13:11-18 ( AND I BEHELD ANOTHER BEAST COMING UP OUT OF TH
E EARTH; AND HE HAD TWO HORNS LIKE A LAMB, AND HE SPAKE AS A DRAGON. AND HE EXER
CISETH ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST BEFORE HIM, AND CAUSETH THE EARTH AND TH
EM THAT DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST, WHOSE DEADLY WOUND WAS HEALED.
AND HE DOETH GREAT WONDERS, SO THAT HE MAKETH FIRE COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN ON THE
EARTH IN THE SIGHT OF MEN, AND DECEIVETH THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH BY MEANS
OF THOSE MIRACLES WHICH HE HAD POWER TO DO IN THE SIGHT OF THE BEAST; SAYING TO
THEM THAT DWELL ON EARTH, THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE AN IMAGE OF THE BEAST, WHICH HAD
THE WOUND BY THE SWORD, AND DID LIVE. AND HE HAD POWER TO GIVE LIFE UNTO THE IM
AGE OF THE BEAST, THAT THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BOTH SPEAK, AND CAUSE THAT
AS MANY AS WOULD NOT WORSHIP THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BE KILLED. AND HE CAU
SETH ALL, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT, RICH AND POOR, FREE AND BOND, TO RECEIVE THE MAR
K IN THEIR RIGHT HAND, OR IN THEIR FOREHEADS: AND THAT NO MAN MIGHT BUY OR SELL,
SAVE HE THAT HAD THE MARK, OR THE NAME OF THE BEAST, OR THE NUMBER OF HIS NAME.
HERE IS WISDOM. LET HIM THAT HATH UNDERSTANDING COUNT THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST:
FOR IT IS THE NUMBER OF A MAN; AND HIS NUMBER IS SIX HUNDRED THREESCORE AND SIX.

By the beast, then, coming up out of the Earth, he means the Kingdom of the ANTI
CHRIST, and by the two horns , he means him and the false prophet after him. And
in speaking of the horns being like a LAMB, he means he will make " HIMSELF LIK
E THE SON OF GOD".
In Daniel's vision , the kingdoms are all represented as BEAST, and all of beast
s come "out of the sea". Revelations 13 is actually the fourth beast of Daniel 7
, and that the second beast mentioned in Revelations 13 is a restoration of that
Kingdom. The first beast in Revelation 13, like the beasts in Daniel 7 comes "
out of the sea". But the second beast of Revelation 13 (ominously) comes " out o
f the earth ". The parabolic imagery of the "sea" and "earth" signifies that the
second beast has no divine legitimacy. The ANTICHRIST is not like other eartly
rulers. He is an outlaw, a renegade, with no respect for the Laws of GOD or man.
The Horns on the beast are individual rulers. The ANTICHRIST IS ONE HORN; HIS F
ALSE PROPHET IS THE OTHER.
"HE SPAKE LIKE A DRAGON", means that he is a deceiver, and Not truthful.
" HE EXERCISED ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST BEFORE HIM, AND CAUSED THE EARTH
, AND THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST, WHOSE DEADLY WOUND WA
S HEALED", signify that after the manner of the law of Augustus, by whom the emp
ire of Rome was established, he too will rule and govern, sanctioning everything
by it, and taking greater glory to himself. This is the fourth beast, whose hea
d was wounded, and healed again, in its being broken up or even dishonored, and
partitioned into four crowns. The ANTICHRIST will heal it, as it were, and resto
re it. This is what John meant when he says , Revelations 13:15-17 ( AND HE HAD
POWER TO GIVE LIFE UNTO THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST, THAT THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOU
LD BOTH SPEAK, AND CAUSE THAT AS MANY AS WOULD NOT WORSHIP THE IMAGE OF THE BEAS
T SHOULD BE KILLED. AND HE CAUSETH ALL, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT, RICH AND POOR, FRE
E AND BOND, TO RECEIVE THE MARK IN THEIR RIGHT HAND, OR IN THEIR FOREHEADS: AND
THAT NO MAN MIGHT BUY OR SELL, SAVE HE THAT HAD THE MARK OF THE BEAST, OR THE NU
MBER OF HIS NAME.)
The ANTICHRIST will represent himself as the one true MESSIAH, the legitimate Ki
ng of Isreal. He will revive the laws of the Roman Empire instituted by Augustus
, but that like Augustus, he will institute laws designed to consolidate his pow
er. The vision recorded in Revelations 13 describes the actions taken by the ANT
ICHRIST in establishing his kingdom.
For, being full of guile, and exalting himself against the servants of GOD, with
the wish to afflict them and persecute them out of the world because they did n
ot give glory unto him. He will order incensepans to bet set up by all everywher
e, that no man among the saints may be able to buy or sell without FIRST sacrifi
cing; This is what is meant by the "mark" received upon the right hand. And the
words " in their forehead" indicates that All were crowned, and put on a "CROWN
OF FIRE", not of life, but of death.
The wise Antiochus Epiphanes, the King of Syria, the descendant of Alexzander of
Macedon, devise measures against the Jews. He, too in the exaltation of his hea
rt, issued a decree in those times that " all should set up shrines before the d
oors, and sacrifice, and that they should march in procession to the honour of D
ionysus , waving chaplets of ivy", 2 Maccabees 6:7.
BUT HAVING THE MYSTERY OF GOD IN MY HEART, WE OUGHT IN FEAR TO KEEP FAITHFULLY W
HAT HAS BEEN TOLD US BY THE BLESSED PROPHETS, IN ORDER THAT WHEN THOSE THINGS CO
ME TO PASS, WE MAY BE PREPARED FOR THEM, AND NOT DECEIVED. For when the times a
dvance, he too, of whom these things are said, will be manifested.
Daniel 11:41 ( He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries s
hall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even E'-dom, and Mo
ab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.) Isaiah 11:14 says: ( But they shal
l fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil th
em of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon E'-dom and Moab; and the
children of Ammon shall obey them.)

In those times, then, he shall arise and meet them. and WHEN HE HAS OVERMASTERD
THREE HORNS OUT OF THE TEN ARRAY OF WAR, AND HAS ROOTED THESE OUT... EGYPT, LIBY
A, AND ETHIOPIA, AND HAS GOT THEIR SPOILS AND TRAPPINGS, AND HAS BROUGHT THE REM
AINING HORNS WHICH SUFFER IN SUBJECTION, HE WILL BEGIN TO BE LIFTED IN HEART, AN
D EXALT HIMSELF AGAINST GOD AS MASTER OF THE WHOLE WORLD. And his expedition wil
l be against Tyre and Berytus, and the circumjacent territory. For by storming t
hese cities first he will strike terror in the others, as Isaiah 23:4-5 says ( B
e thou ashamed, O Zi'-don: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea
, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young
men, nor bring up virgins. As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be
sorely pained at the report of Tyre.)
THESE THINGS, THEN, SHALL BE IN THE FUTURE. AND WHEN THE THREE HORNS ARE CUT OFF
, HE WILL BEGIN TO SHOW HIMSELF AS GOD.
Ezekiel 28:2 (SON OF MAN, SAY UNTO THE PRINCE OF TY'-RUS, THUS SAITH THE LORD GO
D; BECAUSE THINE HEART IS LIFTED UP, AND THOU HAST SAID, I AM A GOD, I SIT IN TH
E SEAT OF GOD, IN THE MIDST OF THE SEAS; YET THOU ART A MAN, AND NOT GOD, THOUGH
THOU SET THINE HEART AS THE HEART OF GOD.) and to the like effect Isaiah says:(
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my t
hrone above the stars of GOD: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation
, in the sides of the North: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I wi
ll be like the most HIGH. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides o
f the pit. Isaiah 14:13-15)
In like manner Ezekiel 28:9 ( WILT THOU YET SAY BEFORE HIM THAT SLAYETH THEE, I
AM GOD? BUT THOU SHALT BE A MAN, AND NO GOD IN THE HAND OF HIM THAT SLAYETH THEE
.)
Now , concerning the tribulation, of the persecution which is to FALL UPON THE C
HURCH from the ADVERSARY, John also speaks thus: Revelation 12:1-17 (And there a
ppeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon und
er her feet, and upon her head, a crown of twelve stars: And she being with chil
d cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared ano
ther wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten
horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the
stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before th
e womanwhich was ready to be deliverd, for to devour her child as soon as it wer
e born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a ro
d of iron: and her child was caught up unto God , and to his throne. And the wom
an fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they s
hould feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was w
ar in heaven: Mi'-cha-el and his angles fought against the dragon; and the drago
n fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found anymor
e in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out , that old serpant called the Dev
il, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth,
and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven
, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power
of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them
before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, a
nd by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death
. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiter
s of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you, having great
wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon sa
w that he was cast down unto earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth
the man child. And the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she mig
ht fly into the wilderness, into her place where she is nourished, for a time, a
times, and a half time from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out o
f his mouth water as a flood after the woman that he may caus eher to be carried
away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mou
th, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the d
ragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her see
d, which keeps the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (
Yeshua).
Now, by the being "clothed with the sun", it is meant the Church endued with the
Father's word, whose brightness is above the sun. And by the "moon" under her f
eet, it is meant by her being adorned like the moon, with heavenly glory. And 'u
pon her head, a crown of twelve stars" refer to the twelve apostles by whom the
church was founded. 'she , being with child, cries, travailing in birth, and pai
ned to be deliverd", mean that the Church will not cease to bear from her heart
the Word that is persecuted by the unbelieving in this world. And she 'brought
forth a man child" who is to rule all the nation. The perfect manchild of God, w
ho is declared to be the instructer of all the nations. And the words "her child
was caught up with God, and to his throne", signify that he who is born of her
, is a heavenly King, and not an earthly King; even as David also declared when
he said Psalm 110:1 ( THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD, SIT THOU AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNT
IL I MAKE THINE ENEMIES THINE FOOTSTOOL.)

two witnesses in Revelation 11, and after the restoration of the beast as descri
bed in Revelation 13. Therefore, there is, in these chapters, an overlapping of
details.}
