Safety tips
Keep hydration gear full of water and stay hydrated If you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated Avoid drinking carbonated beverages, drink water or electrolytereplenishing beverages Be mindful of the heat condition as noted by the colored flags Stay in the shade or air conditioning as much as possible Watch out for tripping hazards or holes in the ground as you are marching Stay clear of moving vehicles during transportation to other sites

In-processing
The first experience that cadets at the 2010 Florida Wing Summer Encampment had was inprocessing. This gives the basics their first glimpse of the high-speed pace of encampment right from the start. From the scorching temperatures at Camp Blanding to the cadet staff motivating them to move quickly, the basic cadets were introduced to the stresses of encampment. They also received their Doolie OIs, which contain a large quantity of information from which they will be required to learn throughout the week. Once they were done there, they were led to their flight staff, who began to instruct them on how to set up their bunks and the space around them to be ready for inspection. Having done all of that, the basic cadets are now ready to begin encampment!

About the Encampment Commander


Captain Eddie Villalba
of C/Lt Col by 1992. He attended the Pararescue Jumper Orientation Course twice as well as National Blue Beret and a Water Survival School and received a Commanders Commendation. He served in the Air Force Reserve at Capt Eddie Villalba joined Civil Hurlburt Field near Panama Air Patrol in 1988 as a cadet, City, FL from 1992-2000. Capt and progressed through the Villalba received his Bachelors program to achieve the grade Degree in Computer Science from Florida State University in 1998. In 2000 he rejoined CAP as a senior member and has served as the Deputy Director for Cadet Programs in Group 6 and is now the Deputy Commander for Cadets at the Pembroke Pines Squadron. Capt Villalba works for Microsoft.

About the CADET Commander


Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Josh Hinson
National Cadet Special Activities, including Basic and Advanced Pararescue Jumper Orientation Course and Cadet Officer School. Hes looking forward to being your Cadet Commander for this Encampment, and says that though there are a lot of people here, there are also a lot of good staff to help run the Encampment throughout the week.
