News of the Week:

Speak Asias Ponzi Scheme!

Speakasia.com is a site which pays customers for filling surveys. What is a survey? a set of questions that a company would like to ask a customer so that it can do better marketing. Why would anyone pay you to do a survey? Suppose a company wanted to launch a new cinema hall, then before launching, it would like to decide about its food menu, the ticket prices, the show timings etc. by asking customers about their preferences. And the company would be willing to pay for that. Speak Asia provides that service to companies and it pays customers directly for filling surveys. What is the controversy? Speak Asia charges you Rs.11,000 per year to become a member, and then pays you Rs.500 per week for filling a survey. This money which is paid to you is supposed to be earned from companies wanting to conduct surveys. But apparently speak asia earns no income from surveys & it using subscription money of new members to pay the old members. This is also called a Ponzi Scheme
