Current Status SSC T

Comments Does not meet criteria and Lower Keys population is not an isolated remove from the list population List as Threatened FWC staff recommends that the short-tailed snake remain listed as a Threatened species because it is a Florida endemic with a restricted geographic range, 57% of its potential habitat is privately owned, it inhabits upland habitats in great demand for development, and information is lacking on its life history, habitat requirements, and population size and trends.
