Projects
• Assisted in the integration of NETS-S standards into the regular education curriculum to ensure
21st century skills were addressed during regular instruction.
• Assisted in the development of NETS-T & A based guidelines for technology knowledge and
competencies of teachers and administrators.
• Created & supervised a district-wide technology integration newsletter
• Created & supervised the implementation of online professional development for the District
• Developed district-wide curriculum and resource sharing for the Social Studies Department
across all grade levels.
• Developed system for e-mailing daily teacher and team homework to parents/students who sign-
up online.
• Disaggregated & analyzed PSSA, 4-Sight, and Dibels data district-wide, and for each of 19
schools. This also included finding research-based methods of instruction to address consistent
areas of need.
• Educational technology funding initiative - Sought donations of Student Response Systems from
local businesses and community organizations. Also ran various fundraising events to provide
funding for multiple school and district initiatives (technology and otherwise).
• Helped to develop a school-wide behavior management/discipline system, including gathering
data from teachers, developing system, tracking the success of the system using data provided by
teachers, and sharing implementation information with teachers, staff, students, and parents.
• Helped with utilization of live video-streaming system for PASCD Southern Region events,
allowing teachers and administrators from around the region to view professional development
without travelling.
• Member of the district’s eSchoolsPlus Core Team, helping to successfully migrate student data
to new data management system; provided professional development to administrators and
teachers on the use of new system; provided user-end technical support.
• Organized professional development for the districts in the region on the Keystone Exams, which
was attended by approximately 300 administrators
• Organized professional development for the region’s pre-service teachers, which included
information about SAS, LFS, Technology Integration, 21st Century Skills, and Classroom
Management.
Projects (continued)
• SMART Board installation project- Partnered with fellow teacher to install SMART Boards in
district classrooms at a fraction of the cost contractors would charge – saving the district
approximately $300 per board.
• SMART Board purchase & distribution project- Headed effort to purchase nearly 20 SMART
Boards, created application for teachers interested in receiving a SMART Board, and led the
selection committee for the distribution.
• Utilized ‘virtual meeting’ system for Social Studies Department meetings, allowing teachers to
remain at their building for district-wide Social Studies Department meetings each month, saving
the district on mileage reimbursement costs.
