INTRODUCTION

Dear teachers,

This set of questions will support you to prepare assessment activities and review exercises. It
contains exercises which include authentic texts involving all the contents of book two. They
focus the English language through functions, grammar points and vocabulary. It was included
different kinds of text from different genres. We hope these exercises can facilitate your job. The
chart below can show you the exercises distributed among the lessons. Some questions focus on
dealing with recognition and others on production.

Evaluation

5: I evaluate the learning outcome of my students by using common tests, that is, tests given in
the textbook or those designed by my school.

4: I assess my students’ performance using a combination of common tests and those I design
for learners in a particular class.

choose from, and I try to honor their choice as much as possible.

My name is Leanne and the subjects I am studying are Health and Social Care,
Spanish, Drama, and Religious Studies. Boys and girls do go to the same over here
in the UK. Up to year 11 or in America or in any foreign countries they call it 11th
grade you wear uniform. We do get a lot of homework. A school day is 6 1/2
hours. It depends because you can stay on at school after 11th grade into six
form where you do A levels or you can leave school after 11th grade or year
11 and go to work so if you stay on then you go to school for 13 years or if

live in a famous place where it products garlic and our garlic is very good for body. So,
once every four years, the festival is held. In festival, many people come together and

may be connoisseur of garlic from all over Korea and many people often buy our
garlic.

I am Luis and I'm a 13 year-old-student from Ibiza, and I learn English at Es Romanians
Academy. I am in a high school, and there I learn algebra, science, English, German, technology,
physical education, citizenship and music. My favorite subject is algebra and my least is
citizenship. My school starts at 8.15am and it finishes at 3.05pm. We don't wear uniforms at
school, we wear what we want. There are no ceremonies at my school. I attend 5 days a week, a
total of 35 hours. I get to school by bus, 'cuz my house is 10km away. We don't have lunch, we
only have breakfast, and we've got 2 breaks, each one of 15 minutes. We have no school
website. In my class there are 21 students.
