WORK EXPERIENCE

Site Owner Representative/ Supervisor- Boralex Wind Project(s)
(Chatham- Kent/ Essex County(s), Ontario, CANADA) - Blattner Energy
Inc, Avon, MN, US (Borea Construction ULC, Quebec City, Quebec,
CANADA)
Subcontracted out to Boralex as a representative onsite throughout the
duration of construction of several small wind projects in southern
Ontario:
Responsibilities:
* Managed onsite construction of 9 x 10 MW wind turbine construction
projects
* Monitored the progress of daily wind turbine construction works,
which included civil, electrical, and turbine installations.
* Established/ managed good relationships with landowners/
surrounding community, and resolved issues/ concerns/ conflicts
that required attention throughout construction.
* Communicated effectively to all subcontractors at daily toolbox
meetings. Any problems, issues, and resolutions were elaborated on
at this time.
* Supervised QA/QC installation requirements for roadwork,
foundation, tower erection, electrical infrastructure, and
environmental planning. This also included any technical problems
that arose throughout construction stages.
* Provided daily/ monthly management reporting(s) in regards to
safety, construction progress vs. schedule, and any future
forecasts.
Key Achievement: Established good relationship(s) with the
landowner(s) & community which will in turn represent the Owner
(Boralex) for the lifespan of the Wind farm facility.
May 2008- April 2009
Planning Engineer-St. Ulric Wind Project (St. Ulric, Quebec) -
Blattner Energy Inc, Avon, MN, US (Borea Construction ULC, Quebec
City, Quebec, CANADA)
Responsibilities:
* Developed a fully detailed project baseline schedule in
partnership with the project manager, and subcontractors.
* Reviewed daily construction progress, and updated project
path-scheduled/ actual indicators. This was provided in a weekly,
and then a more detailed monthly report.
* Planned the project installation aspects for roadwork by analyzing
survey reports, maps, engineered/ technical drawings, and other
topographical or geologic data
* Coordinated production rates/ costs with estimators in relations
to the budget set forth.
* Planned/ forecasted foundation installation(s) by coordinating
meetings with local geologist for geotechnical research and
analysis, and any geotechnical reviews
* Critical path items required to initiate job start, such as
obtaining permits, planning/ scheduling for equipment, and
material mobilizations
Key Achievement: Planned & coordinated critical paths, which in turn
resulted as a successful project, on budget, and ultimately finishing
the project ahead of schedule.
