* As Branch Head I was responsible for branch functions that were critical to th
e support of the wide variety of operations conducted at the Pacific Missile Tes
t Center. Supervising the work of eight technicians, I ensured operational rea
diness of the analog and digital display systems including: the Navy Tactical D
ata System (NTDS); the Real Time Readout Display System (RTRDS) the Visual Cou
nt Status Display System (VCSDS); the Range Operations Display System (RODS); an
d the Integrated Target Control System (ITCS). These display systems supported
Range surveillance functions, aircraft and weapons testing, target control, safe
ty monitoring and data collection. The efficient operation of these systems all
ow the Range Operations Department to effectively conduct, control, execute, and
display operational test scenarios, and to perform pre- and post-operational an
alysis and mission reconstruction of test and training scenarios.
