* Worked in concert with the Director of UMVS Network Development and others to
design and implement a provider contracting strategy for the North Texas service
area which incorporated 162 counties.
* Reviewed numerous documents, policies, contracts, and other business developme
nt related plans to ensure compliance and/or cohesiveness with existing Texas pr
ovider practice guidelines.
* Contracted with physicians, ancillary providers and hospitals.
September 99 - December 08 Aetna Health, Inc. - Dallas, Texas - Network Manager
* Responsible for the development and management of the Aetna North Texas Provid
er Network geographically located in the counties north, east, and south of the
Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex (27 counties). Also supported the Dallas market by r
e-negotiating the Dallas Parkland Hospital agreement.
* Contracted hospitals, physicians, and various ancillary providers (26 hospital
s, approx. 1,700 physicians). Facilitated and/or assisted with claims and/or ge
neral customer service needs.
* Built and maintained good working relationships with hospital management and a
ll physician and ancillary provider offices in a continuing effort to enhance th
e relationships between providers and Aetna.
