Experience
September 2008 to Present: Assistant to property owner. 16 hrs/wk. Perform ten
ant improvements to include stucco work, dry wall, painting, plumbing, roofing,
flooring and concrete work.
May 2008 to September 2008: Unloader at Lowes Home Improvement. Unloaded 1500 c
artons of product a night. Designed and installed display racking for Christmas
merchandise. Assembled over 50 Grills. Assisted 6-10 Customers a night. Operat
ed forklifts, reach and order pickers.
May 2008 to August 2008: Night clerk at Ralph's Grocery. Bailed cardboard. Re
sponsible for organization of back stock room. Readied store conditions for publ
ic access. Upheld safety standards throughout the store to minimize customer an
d employee injury risk.
June 2004 to December 2007: Student at United States Coast Guard Academy. Took u
p to 20 units with cumulative gpa of 2.8 and made dean's list for 2 semesters. L
ead Community Service/Morale Division. Accounted for $3000 in ships store and mo
rale funds. In charge of ensuring 120 cadets passed fitness standards. Spent ti
me during summers training as junior officer aboard cutters. Implemented chemic
al, biological and radiation training for a 200 crewmember ship. Set up Law Enf
orcement training for ship working closely with revolving training team. Qualifi
cations in damage control, engine room watch stander and flight deck firefighter
team member.
June 2003 to September 2003: Coate's Plastering. Transported construction mater
ials from supplier to job sites. Balanced competing delivery requests from multi
ple managers.
