Zoom Eyeworks Inc.: District Manager/Central California (10
/05 7/30/10).
* Oversaw district sales and service of sunglass and reading glass products cove
ring ten territories; responsible for 370 chain retail accounts and 107 independ
ent store accounts covering 15 Central and Southern California Counties.
* Responsible for prospecting, generating and developing new accounts and build
ing on existing accounts by presenting and selling promotional programs, new pro
duct lines and displays to drive sales. Opened 30 new accounts and generated $3.
4 million in gross sales in 2009.
* Recruit, train, oversee and evaluate five full-time and six part-time Sales Re

Intercraft Industries: District Manager/Central California (9/95 12/98)
Responsible for maximizing the sales and service of picture frame and mat prod
ucts to 260 retail chain accounts including K-Mart, Payless, Thrifty, Longs and
Walgreen Drugs, Michaels, Ben Franklin and 50 independent accounts.
Managed three full-time and six part-time Sales Representatives who reported to
me.
District included the Bay Area, Kern County and the Central Coast and exceeded
$2.5 million in gross sales.
Developed a sales team through recruiting, training and evaluative processes.
Responsible for managing and controlling the district sales and expense budget.
Managed a $530,000 dollar Central Coast territory over the previous six years (
Oct. 1990 to Sept. 1995) while a Sales Representative.
Won the Presidents Club Award for top sales achievement in 1991 and was the dis
tricts top sales achiever two years.
Longs Drug Stores: Assistant Store Manager (10/86 8/88) Thousand Oaks, CA Store
Responsible for all front-end department sales and merchandising objectives.
Trained, supervised, coached and directed the daily work activities of the depa
rtment managers and sales associates.
Set and maintained store departments by managing the daily ordering, receiving,
merchandising and warehousing of goods. Also, directed my associates to set up
weekly advertised goods on end caps and promotional fixtures.
Progressively more work experience over the previous eight years while assigned
to five other Longs Drugs Stores.
Opened four stores from the ground up providing me with advanced merchandising
skills.

Ive been a Member of First Christian Church in Santa Maria since 1993, where I

Board Member of the USYVL-Santa Maria Youth Volleyball League.
Launched and directed the Santa Maria USYVL for five years 2003-2007 building it
to over 100 kids and 20 coaches.
