Our Body: A Spiritual Tabernacle for Gods Dwelling

Opening Scripture:
Genesis 1:29 Genesis 2:9

Job 29:1-25

I have given you every herb bearing seed every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life... and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things

Genesis 3:17 Psalms 103:5

Drugs affect neurotransmitters of the brain Alcohol affects the brains neurons in several ways. It alters their membranes as well as their ion channels, enzymes, and receptors. Chronic alcohol consumption leads to increased activation of glial cells known as astrocytes and microglia1 as well as increased expression of brain proinflammatory genes, all indicators of neurodegeneration resulting to brain damage. This cellular increase occurs when the number of receptors to a molecule, such as a hormone or neurotransmitter, increases the cell's sensitivity to the molecule found in people who have consumed excessive quantities of alcohol. Tetrahydrocannabinol: delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (9-THC), 1-THC, is the main psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant. THC reduces size of neurons in the brain causing you not to be sober in mind. THC has mild to moderate analgesic effects, and cannabis can be used to treat pain. The mechanism for analgesic effects caused directly by THC, shrinks neuronal cell bodies and nuclei becoming toxic to the hippocampus. As THC enters the brain, it causes the user to feel euphoricor highby acting on the brain's reward system, which is made up of regions that govern the response to pleasurable things. There is a cellular decrease that occurs as the number of receptors to a neuron is decreased the process at brain level (humans) can vary from seconds to weeks, growing new axons between neurons more than 4 weeks and reaching the final balance can sometimes take as long as 6 months. THC activates the reward system in the same way that nearly all drugs of abuse do: by stimulating brain cells to release the chemical dopamine. Hippocampus is the part of the brain that is involved in memory forming, organizing, and storing. It is a limbic system structure that is particularly important in forming new memories and connecting emotions and senses, such as smell and sound, to memories. The hippocampus is a horseshoe shaped paired structure, with one hippocampus located in the left brain hemisphere and the other in the right hemisphere. The hippocampus acts as a memory indexer by sending memories out to the appropriate part of the cerebral hemisphere for long-term storage and retrieving them when necessary. Memory impairment from marijuana use occurs because THC alters how information is processed in the hippocampus, a brain area responsible for memory formation. As drug agents influence our freewill, we become susceptible to unclean spirits. Therefore, we must be sober in mind as commanded by God.
