* Lead the start up of the new Cheese shredding plant. Responsible for the hiri
ng and training for the departments in the plant. Oversaw the day to day functi
ons of the warehouse, quality, maintenance and production employees.
* In a five month period guided the plant through an accelerated growth phase t
hat surpassed the five year forecast in volume for the plant. Hit all milestone
s and production goals set for the start up of the plant.
* Worked closely with our Corprate Quality to drive improvements in cheese we p
urchased from the suppliers.
Production Manager: November 2007-July 2009 Hayward, CA
* Responsible for all elements associasted with four production lines.
* By applying personal philosophy and continuous improvement techniques I improv
ed throughputs by 20% in the first nine months. Dropped direct labor by 25% by
the end of the first year.
* Developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the production department.
Created the program for "Key Factors", daily production reports and online hou
rly performance tracking. These tools are used to monitor and measure success a
gainst goals and standards of the company.

le and same equipment.

* Used continuous improvement tools and philosophy to accomplish the results. C
reated and implemented SOP's for each position in the production department.
* Oversaw the purchasing and inventory of raw cheese, packaging supplies and oth
er critical ingredients.
* Worked directly with the President to create semi-annual meeting of all produc
tion managers to share best practices across the company. These meetings result
ed in production efficiencies increasing in other plants and savings for the com
pany on purchased packaging supplies.

* Lead the plant start up of the eight million dollar Slicing project. Performed
all training for the new equipment and created all supporting documentation. M

and employees we were able to see increases in our throughputs by 20% two years
in a row. Using Six Sigma principles and tools our projects saved the company $
400,000 annually.
* Additional projects and initiatives cut our customer complaints by over 70%.
I trained employees in Six Sigma, Process Control and Monitoring Plans (PCAMP's)
and SOP's. With teams of employees we wrote the SOP's and PCAMP's for the pro
duction lines through the plant.
