- Installation:
Run VoluMedic.exe and in the following requester, browse to the directory
you want to install VoluMedic in.
VoluMedic is a plugin for LightWave 3D. After installing LightWave
(please see LightWave reference manual for description on that). Use the
Edit Plugins Panel in the Utilities Tab in LightWave`s Layout. Choose
Scan Directory and go to the VoluMedic installation- directory, click OK.
You should get a message saying 18 plugins found in 168 files . Use the
Edit Menu Layout command in the Edit popup to open the Edit Menu
Layout panel that will allow you to place the VoluMedic plugins in your
menu.
In the right menu column rightclick on the line labelled Main Menu and
choose Import Branch. This will open a file- requester. Browse to the
VoluMedic Installation- Directory and select the file VoluMedic Branch .
This will add a new Tab containing all of VoluMedic`s tools to the
LightWave main menu.
- Registration:
Go to

Enter your data especially your Dongle Number. The Dongle number can be found in
the About
LightWave 3D (5 digit Product Lock number).
Shortly after that you will receive an email containing a Volumedic.key- file wh
ich contains
your personal License Key. Open the About VoluMedic panel and use the Enter Lice
nse Key
button to enter your License Key. VoluMedic will automatically update the VoluMed
ic.key
file in the VoluMedic installation directory with the new license key.
Alternatively you can just copy and paste the Volumedic.key file into your VoluM
edic installation directory.
- Content:
This release version of VoluMedic ships with included content (scenes created fo
r use with VoluMedic and LightWave3d).
You can use the included data set and scenes are royalty free. Feel free to use
and change them to your liking.
For installation of the content, please copy and paste the VoluMedic_Content fol
der to a directory of your choice.
Once you have done that, set the Content Directory in LightWaves general options
to the "VoluMedic_Content" folder.
Choose Load Scene and load one of the included scenes.
The data set is in VoluMedics own format, so no import is needed for using this
data set.
