My objective is to be a leader, be a decision maker, and be a vital link in a hi
gh powered retail real estate team that is empowered to grow their company throu
gh the successful addition of new stores on an annual basis. I want to take my t
rack record of success at Wal-Mart and combine it with the knowledge I gained as
a Consultant and my current experiences as a Director of Real Estate for the nu
mber one Family Dining Restaurant in the Country, Cracker Barrel Old Country Sto
re, and help a company grow aggressively and intelligently while exceeding expec
tations with each new store.
EXPERIENCE:
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. Lebanon, TN
Director of Real Estate 7/12/04 to 5/07/2010
Responsible for developing and executing the strategy for growing the Cracker Ba
rrel brand through new stores. Direct communication with the CEO, COO, and CFO,
as well as Regional Vice Presidents of Operations relating to new stores, site s
election, and research. Also responsible for annual budgets, personnel decisions
, and overall strategic planning for the Real Estate Department. In addition I m
aintained responsibility for specific territories for site selection and site ac
quisition for new stores. Negotiated Ground Lease Agreements, Purchase Agreement
s, ECR Agreements as part of the Site Acquisition process and maintained respons
ibility throughout the due diligence process, design, permitting, and coordinati
on with Construction until store opening. Many of the sites I selected resulted
in record sales for new stores. Examples are Abilene, TX, Lubbock, TX McAllen, T
X, Stevensville, MD, Nicholasville, KY, Bensalem, PA.

Responsible for acquiring merchandising contracts from National Vendors to re-se
t their products within Target, Wal-Mart stores on a national level. Developed b
usiness relationships with many National Vendors, including Phillips, Norelco, B
lack and Decker, Fiskars, Newell Rubbermaid, Kraft Foods.
Self Employed Rogers, AR
Real Estate Consultant 6/01/00 to 6/01/03
Provided consulting services to three commercial real estate companies based in
Atlanta, GA for the purpose of assisting them to locate potential shopping cente
r sites and potential retailers for specific locations. Worked exclusively with
Hendon Properties, Jacoby Development, and Butler Properties.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Bentonville, AR


Senior Real Estate Manager 2/18/91 to 5/15/00
As a Senior Real Estate Manager, I was responsible for new locations for Sam's C
lubs, Wal-Mart Supercenters, as well as relocations of Wal-Mart Stores to Superc
enters. Territories included GA, SC, NC, and PA. Always one of the top 2-3 produ
cers annually with over 200 projects started and completed.
Cooper Communities, Inc. Bella Vista, AR
Engineering Manager 5/15/85 to 10/15/90
_Responsibilities included engineering design of water and sewer systems for a l
arge scale Community Development Company. While at Cooper Communities worked on
projects in several of their Communities, Cherokee Village, AR, Bella Vista, AR,
Tellico Village, TN, Savannah, Lakes Village, SC.

Environmental Health Specialist 5/01/82 to 5/15/85
Responsible for environmental health activities within Benton County, AR. These
included routine restaurant, swimming pool , and school inspections as well as h
ealth emergencies such as chemical spills, on-site sewage disposal malfunctions,
and solid waste issues.
