Assisted the District of Columbia Government by conducting a reduction-in-force
and laying off over 1400 employees of the D.C. Health and Hospitals Public Benef
it Corporation (PBC) that included D.C. General Hospital, Community Health Clini
cs and School Health Program. This was the first reduction-in-force for the Cit
y that required the termination of all employees. Through a team of specialists,
conducted information seminars and provided counseling to affected employees.
Coordinated a joint effort with the Department of Employment Services to provide
job placement for the displaced workers. Participated with the Financial Contr
ol Board (Appointed by U.S. Congress) s Transition Team in ensuring that the clo
sure of the PBC had a soft impact on the employees. Managed the Personnel Recor
ds Disposal Program for the former PBC.
