2,600 courses. Three City Centre campuses are easy to reach and close to all restaurants,
shops and transport links. As an internationally recognised institution, we are committed to
our international students. Modern-class facilities and access to Libraries, Labs,
Workshops, Gyms, Swimming pool and Cafes. Two intakes each year (February and
August). Close links with industry and better articulation to Universities. All our classes are
more personal and interactive. An excellent International Student Support Team committed
to helping you. We are a publicly funded Institution and accredited by the Scottish
Government. Our entry requirements are more flexible than Universities.
Glasgow is one of Europeʼs most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities. Our city centre location
makes the College easily accessible for students by all types of transport and the
entertainment and shopping capital of Scotland is on your doorstep. Glasgow branded as
ʻScotland with Styleʼ is a bustling, vibrant city. There is a wide variety of cinemas, clubs,
bars and restaurants to choose from and more than thirty-five Museums and Galleries to
visit. It has a wide and varied music scene and was recently voted as a UNESCO City of
Music and recently hosted to the prestigious MOBO awards. Glasgow is a shopperʼs
paradise and is the second only to London for retail. The main shopping thoroughfare,
Buchanan Street, has been voted one of the worldʼs top retail destinations. In sporting
terms Glasgow is home to three professional football teams and is developing and
recasting itself to meet the challenge of holding the 2014 Commonwealth Games. When
youʼve had enough of city life Glasgow is only an hourʼs drive from the beautiful Scottish
country side where you can relax and explore more of Scotlandʼs beautiful landscape and
learn about our history. There are five million people living in Scotland and it forms part of
the United Kingdom, along with England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but it has its own
parliament and its own way of doing things. There are six fantastic and individual cities –
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness and Stirling as well as many other
large towns and villages, that are all linked by air, road, rail and ferry. Although small,
Scotland has had a massive impact on the world and not just for producing the finest
whisky of the world today. It was Scots who revolutionised steam power and invented the
television and the telephone. Scots the world over mark the start of the New Year by
partying into the ʻwee small hoursʼ fuelled by traditional food, drink, dancing and singing.
Edinburghʼs Hogmanay celebrations consist of the largest street party in the whole of the
UK.

HND Courses:
IELTS 4.0
SLC Pass
All International Students in full time education in Scotland are eligible for NHS (National
Health Service) treatment, whatever the length of their studies. This also applies to
dependents ie: spouses and dependents under 16 years old (19 yrs if still at school).
This applies from the first day of arrival in Scotland. It is important that you register with a
doctor (also known as General Practitioner or GP) as soon as you arrive in Scotland. To
register, visit a local doctorʼs surgery during opening hours and take a letter from the
college to prove you are a student. You will fill in some forms and then you will be sent a
medical card through the post which will have your NHS number on it. There are no
charges to see a doctor or GP, but you will have to pay towards the cost of any medicine
which the doctor prescribes to you. If the doctor gives you a prescription you take this to
any pharmacy where they will give you the medicine and charge you a fee. Some
medicines are available without prescription at the chemist eg: Cold & Flu remedies, so it
is worth checking this out with the pharmacy or GP. Treatment in an Accident &
Emergency Department (A&E or Casualty), following accident is free and is available 24
hours a day in most hospitals.
