• Install the joint closure according to the etisalat drawing
• Preparation to the cable in MRT & JRC
• Install the O.D.F and Mini O.D.F outside cabinet, bldg telephone room and etisalat
cable chamber
 • Supervising the cable pulling etisalat JRC &MRT according to etisalat drawing and
DSR (Duct Space Record)
• Install the GPON net work terminal for the customer permissions
• Install the fast connector to the O.D.F and customer permissions (Mechanical
Splicing)
• Testing, commissioning & maintaining the GPON network, using OTDR & light source
Power Meter
• Assembling the O.N.T and terminator the RJ45 and RJ11 connector
• Dressing the O.D.F (optical distribution frame )

Main Roles and Responsibilities in Fiber Optic Technician:

• Survey and leveling MRT & JRC
• Fiber optic cable pulling
• Install the Fiber Node for the cable TV project (e-vision)
• Install the amplifier, tabs and terminator to the connector
• Install the wireless Router and Modems in individual installation
• Working as a customer coordinator for individual installation
• Prepare the detail recorded of the Customer Service
• Finally submitted the required weekly and monthly report
