Qualifications:
Purchasing
* Initiated and negotiated vendor rebates, contracts and pricing to achieve maxi
mum cost savings for raw materials, package components, and temporary displays.
Resolve disputes regarding invoices including quality control issues.
* Prepared document issuing and/or renewing requests for bids and/or proposals.
Evaluation of proposals and bids once received in accordance with the Sorbane-Ox
ley Act.
* Interpret and study prices, trends, market conditions, and identified new sour
ces of supply both domestic and international, which have resulted in new produc
t development with worldwide vendor selections based on cost competitiveness and
timing reliability.
* Establishing qualified contract manufacturing services, which include liquid,
powder and cream filling.
* Maintaining plant assembly and ship dates to insure credibility with retail pa
rtners.
* Supervise planning and purchasing department with direct reports.
* Analyze purchasing needs through MRP requisition interfacing with sales.
* Co-ordinate production planning and ship dates.
* Review, approve and authorize purchase orders.
* Establish inventory levels with relevant necessary inventory turns to ensure c
orrect on-hand status.
Package Development
* Develop all primary and secondary components necessary for manufacturing, incl
usive of issuing compatibility studies to private laboratories.
* Develop and or oversee Bills of Material for all finished goods and proper ite
m code numbers for data entry into shared operating system.
* Analyze and interpret artwork for optimum reproduction methods and determine m
ost cost effective manufacturing techniques.
* Work with Marketing to establish new graphic designs, techniques to execute ne
w printing methods.
* Develop large and small format temporary displays for mass market retailers, c
onvert from drawing to shipment.
* Well versed in reading and interpreting packaging blue prints.
* Extensive experience in press proofing
* Worked internationally to defines new vendor opportunities in conjecture with
world markets.
Marketing
* Broad responsibilities include: writing copy, product development, packaging d
esign, display development, coordinating promotions and gifts with purchase prog
rams.
* Ability to write succinctly and make strong oral presentations.
* Organize material and assign priorities.
Management
* Wide range of experience in all areas of business management.
* Staff supervision including technical training, trouble shooting and personnel
development.
* Manage and train subordinates into promoted positions through training.
* Detailed contract monitoring and diligent fiscal management have led to a prov
en record of contract compliance and business operations in domestic and interna
tional markets.
