Q What does it mean to unlock your phone?
A When a wireless network provider ‘lock’ their phones, it means that their phones have been programmed to only work with
Sims issued by their company. Unlocking Can be done using Software’s and Cables and Codes and all these
Methods VOID the Warranty on your phone but can allow you to unlock your phone but there is a better way which is much
more cost effective.
Q How can i unlock my phone without having to use cables and software’s or codes and without invalidating the
Warranty on my mobile phone.
A The only way to Unlock Mobile phones without using cables and software’s or codes and without affecting the Warranty on
the mobile phone is to Use a Rebel Simcard to unlock your phone.
Q How do I know if my phone is already unlocked or not?
A Simply insert an active SIM card from a different wireless service provider other than the original SIM and see if it works in
your phone or not. If it works and your phone accepts the SIM card, then your phone is already unlocked. But if it creates
some sort of error message, like "Invalid SIM" or "Incorrect SIM" and doesn't work, then your phone is locked.

A No your phone is only unlocked while rebel Simcard is inserted and if you remove the rebel Simcard then the phone would
still be locked as the Rebel Simcard Does Not Modify any of the Mobile Phones Software.
Q Can i use the phone to make calls in and out and use for data downloads or video calls as normal when i use
rebel Simcard to unlock my phone.
A Yes the Rebel Simcard when inserted allows you to use the Phone & Features as Normal in 95% of phones that it unlocks.
Q What’s the Difference between Cut and No Cut Rebel Sim Designs
A Cut Design of the Rebel Simcard is a universal Version and can fit in to virtually in kind of sim gate design. The Network
Simcard to be used needs to be Pre Cut before you can place on top of the rebel sim.
The No Cut Design has been popular with Iphone 3G users as does not require cutting of the Network Simcard to use as the
Chip is placed underneath.
Image shows the that with the Cut Design of Rebel Sim users need to Cut the Network Simcard and with the No cut Design
in the iphone 3G the Network Simcard does not require Cutting.
Q Can the No Cut Design Rebel Sim I Fit in to other phones or only Iphone 3G.
A Yes The No cut design can be used in Nokia N95/N958GB/6233,6500 Classic,6288 and many others Brands using the
Rebel Sim I firmware’s for universal unlocking v44 & v51. All firmware that have the Rebel STK menu are for universal
unlocking.
Q What’s the Difference between Rebel Sim I & Rebel Sim II
A Rebel Simcard was released in June 2008 by Solutions Point Limited and was first launched in the Universal Cut Design. As
the Growth of the Iphone 3G unlocking user base Grew the Rebel Sim R&D Team Created a New Design for Users of Iphone
3G that would not need the network Simcard to be Cut.

Download and Run the Rebel Config 1.00 Software and you will see the Program as below
How to Program rebel sim I firmware’s v55 to v73 for Iphone 3G up to v2.2.1
All firmware’s from v55 to v73 are designed specially for Iphone 3G up to v2.2.1 users and we simplified the
process and these firmware’s don’t require the Rebel Config 1 Software.
Now the Flash file is integrated in to the setup routines and users don’t need to select the card reader or the
rebel sim firmware files as all is installed in one package.

After Software is installed then load the application from the menu
Simply press the one button and no need to select firmware file or card reader.
Now the Rebel Config 2 software Auto checks all Card Readers connected and has seen that there is no rebel
sim card in the Compact programmer as says the FT SCR2000 0 has no card.
The rebel Simcard in this demo is placed on the Full Sixe Reader and the program has found the rebel Simcard
on the ACS USB0 and has begun writing the firmware.
Programming is complete and you can now take out he Rebel Simcard

All steps are the same as programming rebel Simcard I firmwares from v21 to 54i but
instead of selecting the rebel sim I firmware’s this time select the Downloaded rebel sim
II V1 firmware file.
Note do not worry if after selecting the card reader it does not say card In boot mode.
For Rebel Sim II firmware it will say standard card in reader. Press Write Firmware
when loaded.

Q Can Rebel Sim II Firmware be loaded on Rebel Sim I Design Cards.

A No due to new hardware design changes made to the Rebel sim II PCB Design which allows unlocking of
the Latest phones from 2009 which are not possible with the rebel sim I V51i or v44 universal unlocking
firmware’s.

Q What is the Rebel STK Menu
A In the market place are 1000’s of mobile phones and 100’s of Brands we want to give you the power to change the way
Rebel Simcard works by changing its mode from a Menu within the Phone. This way you can have the power to increase the
number of phones rebel Simcard can unlock without the need to Use a PC and software or Card Readers to configure or
program its settings each time you wanted to change phones..
This is a very powerful Menu and if you have a phone that is not compatible with the Default Mode for unlocking then you
can change the mode of rebel sim from within the phone to another one that’s compatible with your mobile.
On the Downloads Page We have a List of the Firmware’s for Rebel Sims. Next to each firmware is a YES or No to indicate if
the firmware has the Rebel STK Menu. The Rebel STK can be used to control the mode you want to use rebel sim to unlock
your mobile.
This is an advanced feature and will be covered in more detail in another upcoming guide on the Downloads Page
