ics that often were "in progress", worked with one team partner to build machine
s used in the manufacture and testing of DLP chips (micro-mirror array video chi
p) used in high resolution projectors. Machines built included a process chamber
machine, a chip sealing machine, a three axis chip inspection machine that util
ized an x/y stage to position devices underneath an inspection camera equipped w
ith a z-axis stage for focus. Also completed machine that performs Fast Array Op
tical testing to cycle microscopic mirror arrays while performing dynamic electr
ical testing. Two each of four different machines were built, one to remain onsi
te and the second to ship to Production Fab in Taiwan. Duties included identifyi
ng documentation issues or errors and making corrections as needed. Motion contr
ol systems includes AC servo motors and microstepping dc steppers. Assembly was
all-inclusive, from mounting hardware
in bare chassis to building wire and cable harnesses.
