Earlier Work History
From 1980 to 1996 I worked exclusively in the Defense and Space Industries. I st
arted my career at Northrop Unmanned Vehicle Systems Division as an aeronautical
engineer supporting classified programs, after a few years I moved back to Seat
tle to work at Boeing Aerospace where I progressed through the ranks from Senior
Aero/Performance Engineer to Weapons Systems Lead Engineer and in 1988 was sele
cted as the National Capitol Division Marketing Representative for the Air Launc
hed Weapons and Strategic Missile Systems program areas of the Missiles and Spac
e Division in the Corporate DC office (one of 5 in the company, and the youngest
ever, with over $8B in program activity).
After the fall of the Berlin Wall with the attendant DoD budget draw-down and th
e President's cancellation of the Strategic Weapons Modernization Program, I was
asked to join the NASA/Boeing Space Station program as the Manager of space Sta
tion Operations and Utilization. After a year of commuting to Huntsville, I left
Boeing and worked Space and Defense programs for smaller companies in the DC ar
ea and then began the transition into the IT and Technical Services field.
