he Dallas Lions, in partnership with Frontier Communica-
tions, has concluded its sponsorship campaign for the Home-
town Hero project. The project consists of banners being dis-
played just before Memorial Day on street poles throughout Dallas
Borough.
This year, 27 past and present veterans will be featured on the ban-
ners. The veterans were sponsored by family members, friends and
neighbors throughout the area. Although the banners represent indi-
vidual veterans, Lions Club members hope the display represents all
area veterans past and present who have served and sacrificed to pre-
serve and defend our freedoms.
