further 2 months at Ideal Standard (they called me back after I worked with them for a year in

Ideal Standard, 7/2003 – 9/2004 (12 Call backs & 9 extensions, see 2005)
Abap Contractor. This was initially a 3 Month contract, repeatedly extended to over a year. I
worked on SD user exits, sapscripts (including creating PDF’s, barcode printing directly to
barcode printers), user support, bapis, LSMW data migration, ALV grids (double click, toolbar
buttons, icons, hotspot & drill down), LSMW, IDocs, ALE, batch & direct input programs
(BDC), dialogue programming and standard abap. I worked in SD, Fi/Co, PP and MM, with
the most work being done in SD and PP. I developed a transport dependency program that
would warn people of dependent transports far better than the system in version 4.7. This
was extensively used throughout the company and helped prevent many potential problems.
I also developed a transport manager and a variant manager that allowed you to backup &
restore variants automatically. I was put in charge of recruiting new developers by looking at
CV’s, interviewing candidates (both technical and standard interviewing by myself) and
allocating work in a team leader role. v4.7
Sap courses BC400 Intro to Abap (5 days), Sap intro to v4.6 (3 days), BC620 Idoc
interface technology (2 days), BC621 Idoc interface development (1 day)
