ABSTRACT

The research attempted to study the causes that are responsible for the attrition from the
perspective of Human Resource executive in the business process outsourcing industry in
Chennai, India. It is found that the workers employed as a fresher has not given proper training
programmes and they are not able to accommodate with present working condition. In more of
the Business Process Outsourcing industry psychometric tests is not practiced through which one
can identify the flexibility of the candidate and his / her capacity to handle the situation and
monotony. So in the research process I going to take the opinion of different authors and find
solutions for this problem.

In order to make a better understanding about the key areas of the topic, a detailed literature
survey has conducted. The extensive literature review thus helped in make a good idea about the
important terminologies and the experts’ discussion on all of these subject matters.

This research is intended to explain cause of attrition and also better relationship between
management and the employees in this particular industry. For this, the researcher has selected
an Indian company which is located in Chennai, Essetech Solutions. The researcher has
formulised a strategy by combining both qualitative and quantitative analysis. For this,
researcher has selected survey with the HR manager and with the employees in the company.

According to the study the existing policies and conditions are effective enough to retain the
employees. Some more suggestions and some of the common requests of the employees are
explained in this research which will help in building confidence among employees and also a
better relationship between management and the employees.
