INSTALLATION
Cylinder (Fig. l-A)
Remove snap ring and spacer from the shaft. Dis-
card the spacer but save the snap ring.
Remove shipping plugs from the cylinder (9).
Remove shipping caps from hydraulic hoses, Connect
each hose to the cylinder. The right angle fitting is
installed as shown in the parts drawing"
Push the shaft (Fig. l-B) to the left so that the
right end is approximately flush with its supporting
bracket. lay the short end of the cylinder in line with
the shaft and insert shaft through the hole. Reinstall
the snap ring.

Hydraulic Hose
Remove the plugs from the tractor hydraulic line
(Fig. l-C) nearest the front of the tractor. Attach the
front hose to this line. Connect the rear hose to the
remaining line (Fig. 1-0), in the same manner.
Remove the 2 nuts and bolts from the tractor at
Fig. 2-A.
Install lift Assembly (1), 2 bearings (2), bolts (3)
and lockwashers (4) as shown in Fig. 2-B.
Install Pivot Assembly (5), spacer (6), bolt (7) and
nut (8) as shown at Fig. 2-e.
Install pins (12 & 27) after lower part of the pivot
assembly is lined up with hole in cylinder shaft.

Remove the bolts and nuts on each side of tractor
frame that are below the pivot assembly.
Install upper link assembly (14) bolt (15) and nut
(16) as shown at Fig. 3-A.
Install the long arm of lower link assembly (17),
Chain attaching bracket (34) and Pins (18 & 19) as
shown in Fig. 3-B.
Preassemble the Sway Chains and adjusting rods
as shown in Fig. 4.
Install sway chains as shown at Fig. 3-0.
Install adjusting rod assemblies at shown at Fig. 3-E.
Install Klik-pin Assembly (36) as shown at Fig. 3-F.
Separate the legs of the cotter pin for permanent
fastening.
Install Upper link (31), Pins (32) and Klick Pins (33)
as shown in Fig. 3-e.

ADJUSTMENT IN.STRUCTIONS
A. The lift rods (Fig. 3-E) screw up or down to
level the implement, also to control depth.
B. The upper link (Fig. 3-C) is used for front-to-
rear leveling of implements. Adjust so that all ground
engaging parts of the implement, such as a disk or
cultivator, are working at a uniform depth.
C. Sway chains can be adjusted to limit the side-
sway of the hitch when a straight-row operation is
required, such as planting and row-crop cultivating.
After the implement is attached, remove the chain
hitch clevis at the rear (Fig. 3-D) and turn the clevis
on the chain hooks as required to provide a stable
hitch.
D. To obtain sway in the implement and yet have
it remain rigid for transporting:
a. Attach the cha in hitch clevis to the lower holes
of the frame ass/yo
b. Unhook chains
c. Raise implement
d. Tighten chains
 NOTE: Do not tighten chains with implement in
lowered position.
E. Adjustment for float of each lower hitch link
can be obtained by removing the upper hairpin on
the lift rod. These pins should be installed when
using the plow . Float of other implements may be
desirable in rough or stony ground conditions.
F. Refer to your equipment operator's manual
for specific adjustment instructions.
LUBRICATION
A good grade of machine oil should be used on
the working joints and on the threads of the lift rods.
CAUTION &
Extreme caution should be used when operating
with heavy implements attached to the 3-point hitch.
Don't start or stop too quickly or turn too sharply.
Front wheel weights and/or additional front counter-
weights may be required with some attachments.
