COURSE SYLLABUS
I. COURSE DESCRIPTION/SCOPE
This course is an integral part of NCM 302 that provides the students the
concepts and principles of nursing care management of clients with alterations in
human functioning across the life span in varied settings.
1. At the end of the course, given a client with simple to complex health
problems/work related problems and life threatening conditions in any health care
situation, the student nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
2. Identifies significant findings from the obtained nursing assessment in
formulating a nursing care plan to patient with communicable disease.
3. Utilize appropriate nursing interventions to restore and maintain health of clients
with inflammatory and immunologic problem
4. Identify common infectious diseases and mode of transmission.
5. Discuss the pathophysiology of common infectious diseases and emphasize their
pathognomonic signs among other conditions.
