TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS meets each Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the

JOY CLUB FLOAT TRIP – The Annual Joy Club Float Trip, is Saturday, June 11th.
Meet at the Highway 14 Bridge at 9:45 a.m. for departure at 10:00 a.m. The cost is

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF – We are again collecting items for World Relief kits.
This year our projects are “Layette Kits” and “School Kits”. During May we will
collect receiving blankets for the Layettes. This summer we will collect items for the
School Kits. Thank you for your support of Lutheran World Relief. Call the church

COFFEE HOSTS – We have some openings in May and June for members to volunteer to
serve coffee and refreshments during the fellowship time between services. Please take a

THRIVENT BUILDS with HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – The wall-raising for the new
home for the Zarate family is scheduled for this Saturday, May 14th. The work starts at
8:00 a.m. with the actual wall-raising at 10:00 a.m. at 5002 Division Street, North Little
Rock. Your help is needed by volunteering on the jobsite, pitching in financially and
praying for the safety and timely completion of the project. To sign up, a volunteer
sheet is posted on bulletin board. Thank you to all who have given donations, but we
are still working to reach our goal of $2400. Thank you to those that have volunteered

BELL CHOIR – CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN - The Alleluia Ringers of
Concordia University Wisconsin will be presenting a concert of sacred and secular music
here at Grace on Friday evening, May 20th, at 7:30 p.m. This group of 13 talented
college students, under the direction of Dr. John Behnke will use over 140 handbells and
handchimes. In their 25 year history, The Alleluia Ringers have performed throughout
the United States, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, and Lativa, plus played for two
national handbell seminars. The music will be fascinated to watch and inspiring to listen
to them. Don’t miss this incredible concert!

MID-WEEK SERVICES - We have a Worship Service each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
Each week’s theme follows the theme of the previous Sunday. Holy Communion is
celebrated on the second and fourth Wednesday. Please join us for worship.
LWML EVENING GUILD is hosting a Salad Supper on Thursday, May 19th, at 6:00
p.m. in the Parlor. ALL WOMEN of Grace are invited. Bring you favorite salad and
enjoy a great time of fellowship. Call Judy Rivers for more information.
CAMP FALCON – Register now for Camp Falcon 2011 at Christ Lutheran School on
June 6 through July 29 (Monday thru Friday – 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for students
entering preschool 4 through 6th grade. The cost is $100 a week per child with discounts
for multiple children. Flyers are on the tables at each entrance to the sanctuary. For

MIRACLE LEAGUE BALL – Alex Roberts is playing Miracle League ball on the Twins
team at Jr. Deputy Field on Cantrell Road next to Cajun’s. Her next game is this
Saturday, May 14th, at 10:30 a.m. The schedule is posted on the bulletin board next to
the Parlor.
DISNEY EXTRAVAGANZA - Grace Lutheran Board of Evangelism is sponsoring a
booth at the 4th Annual Disney Extravaganza. Each booth has a Disney theme and our
booth is “Finding Nemo” with a bean bag toss for the children to win prizes. The
Disney Extravaganza is sponsored by The Pulaski County Adoption Coalition and will be
held May 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. This carnival
style event brings children available for adoption and approved adoptive families together
and gives them an opportunity to meet! If you would like to volunteer to work in our
booth call Abby Buchanan, Gina Junkans or Pat Funk
GRADUATIONS – We have several of our young people graduating from either high
school or college. Please let the church office know about these events so we can publish

LUTHERANS NIGHT AT THE BALLPARK - This Saturday, May 14th, Heartland AR
Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Lutherans
Night at Dickey-Stephens Ballpark. A picnic of hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, chips,
popcorn and soft drinks is available from 6:10 - 8:00 p.m. with the Travelers’ game
starting at 7:10 pm. The deadline to order tickets has passed so check with Jim Greve
(773-0707), or Dennis Hackbart (225-7488 or 765-7488) to see if extra tickets are
available. The Chapter is covering the majority of the costs of baseball tickets and food;
however, the Chapter is asking participants to contribute $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for
children (age 12 or under). Checks are made out to Heartland AR Thrivent.

LUTHERAN CAMP ON PETIT JEAN’s 2011 Summer Camp schedule and registration
forms are available on the table by the ramp door. The theme, F.R.O.G. Fully Rely on
God, will allow campers to walk through the Old and New Testament, learning about true
believers before them who fully relied on God. Campers will discover people like Noah,
Moses, Esther, and Paul who put all their trust in God when they found themselves in
tough situations. Camp programs are available for Kindergarten through 12th grade. To
receive the full payment discount of $15, your registration must be postmarked and paid
