 Threads: Artificial Intelligence and Devices
 GPA: 3.65

EXPERIENCE
GA Tech Research Institute (GTRI) – Electronic Systems Lab Atlanta, GA
Software Co-op / Systems Technology and Analysis Division March 2010 – Present
 Technologies used: Python, C++, Blender 3D
 Learned 3D modeling and game-creation software (Blender) to create a dynamic 3D visualization of a
man-portable unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) performing missions in a simulated environment
 Worked with multidisciplinary team of engineers and computer scientists researching and implementing
collaborative behaviors on man-portable UUVs

Fan Reality Atlanta, GA

Web Application Consultant May 2010 – Oct 2010
 Technologies used: Amazon EC2, MySQL, Java EE
 Worked with startup to create a geo-fenced mobile app for use within a sports venue. One demonstrated
use was a user-controlled “jumbotron race” for the SF Giants where fans could shake their phones to
make a character on the screen move faster.
 Developed and load-tested cloud-based server-side application to perform and manage the race

Undergraduate Research – GTRI Atlanta, GA

Flying Android – Team Leader Aug 2009 – May 2010
 Technologies used: Symbian C++, C, Arduino, PHP, Apache HTTP Server
 Created low-cost, off-the-shelf UAV using a smart phone as an enabling technology for reconnaissance
(ISR) and information warfare (IW)
 Worked with and lead a team of 5 undergrads to develop the prototype system across 2 semesters as part
of an intra-institute competition
 Final UAV capabilities included: autonomous flight, waypoint navigation, cell phone-based ISR and IW
capabilities, visual classification of ground objects performed on phone, geotagged imagery, additional
payload options, and ground station for viewing live position of UAV and aerial images on map
 Presented Flying Android project at AUVSI Technology Expo

GTRI – Signature Technology Lab Atlanta, GA

Software Co-op / Secure Information Systems Division May 2007 – March 2010
 Java EE, Oracle DB, Struts, GWT, Apache Tomcat, JavaScript, ExtJS, AJAX, HTML/CSS
 Worked on a team to develop Enterprise-level, secure web applications
 Server-side development in Java EE using both the Struts framework and Google Web Toolkit running
on Apache Tomcat; Client-side development in JavaScript using the ExtJS framework and making heavy
use of AJAX
 Designed and implemented UIs, business logic, and complex DB queries
