referredto in this manualas the Configuration

Configuration Datacanbe extractedfromthe radlo,editedby thisprogramandagalntransferredbackto the
radio.This ConfigurationDatacan be storedin a DOSdisk file for archivalstorageor for later use.The

ThisincludesPC,
XT,andAT clones.

ln orderto run,the programrequiresat leasta monochromeboardand80-columnmonitor(youcanalsouse


a colorsystem),512Kof RAM,anddiskstorage.A harddriveis recommended, buta ffoppydisksystemwill
alsowork.An optionalparallelprintercan be usedto printreports.

cableis requiredfor connecting
the radioto the computer.

To connectthe radioto the computer,firstconnectthe 70-1308A to eitherCOMt or COM2of the computer.


Thenconnectthe 70-1308A to programming port of the radio.Powerup the radiowhenyou are readyto
beginprogramming.
