Monthly Report - March
Computer Center Traffic:

Student: During this month, approximately 700 students utilized the computer laboratories
from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. ʹ midnight. 300 of those students were
concurrently taking part in a class lecture and/or laboratory while using the computer
laboratories.

Staff: The Technology Specialist performed faculty/staff training on WebCT, Banner, and
Microsoft Office 2007, and Adobe Acrobat 9 on March 9, 16, and 23. Trainings were held twice
each day starting at 9:0 0a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each training held a maximum of 40 participants. A
total of 150 individuals completed one of the trainings offered.

Computer Center Equipment:

Computers: 92 of the 100 student workstations were fully functional at the beginning of the
month of March. 3 of the workstations needed new keyboards (which were inclusive of the
mouse), 3 of the workstations needed software maintenance on the Operating System, 1
workstation needed a new monitor, and 1 workstation required hardware replacement of a
power supply. All maintenance issues were corrected and resolved to ensure that all computers
were fully operational. All of the training workstations (40 out of 40) were fully functional and
had no software or hardware issues.

Printers: 5 out of the 8 printers located in the student laboratories were functional at the
beginning of the month of March. 2 of the printers were out of toner and required specialized
cartridges to be ordered. 1 printer needed a new drum. The printer cartridges were received by
March 23 and were properly installed in each printer. The printer drum is not scheduled to
arrive until Mid-April, thus leaving 1 printer non-functional at the conclusion of March.

Projectors: Both (2 out of 2) projectors were fully functional at the beginning and conclusion of
the month of March.

Screens: Both (2 out of 2) motorized screens were fully functional at the beginning and
conclusion of the month of March.

Surround Sound System: Both (2 out of 2) surround sound systems were fully functional at the
beginning and conclusion of the month of March.

Podium System Controls: Both (2 out of 2) podium system controls were fully functional at the
beginning and conclusion of the month of March.

Digital Video Disc Players: Both (2 out of 2) Digital Video Disc Players were fully functional at the
beginning and conclusion of the month of March.

Current Work Orders:

During the month of March, 89 work orders were requested. 59 related to hardware/software
maintenance issues, 13 related to Banner password issues, and 7 related to installation of new
equipment. 45 of the work orders were satisfactorily completed by IT Staff. The remaining 12
will be completed by the second week of April.

Staffing:

All 6 IT Support Staff persons were present and accounted for during the month of March.
