By-Laws of Allin Township Cemetery District

By-Laws
ARTICLE I
Section 1. The name of this organization shall
be the Allin Township Cemetery District.The
object of this organization shall be to
administer,operate and maintain the Mount
Pleasant and Brooks Grove Cemeteries in McLean
County,Illinois and to this end shall collect
funds from taxes and lot sales.

ARTICLE II - Board of Directors


Section 1.The directors shall be appointed for a six year
term.With one appointment every odd numbered year,with
approval of the Township Board Trustees.
Section 2. The officers shall consist of a
President; a Vice-President; a Secretary, who may
also serve as the Treasurer;.
They shall be elected annually by a majority vote
of the interested persons present at the Annual
Meeting of the District.
Section 3. It shall be the duty of the President
to preside at all regular and special meetings of
the District and call special meetings whenever
thought necessary - and shall be Chairman of the
Board of Trustees and may attend committee
meetings when advisable and shall discharge all
such duties as usually pertains to the office of
president.
Section 4. The Vice-President shall assist the
President in the discharge of his or her duties
and in his or her absence, the next in rank shall
assume such duties.
Section 5. The Recording Secretary/Treasurer shall
keep a minute book in which shall be entered
accurate accounts of the proceedings of all
meetings of the District and Board of Trustees.
The corresponding Secretary/Treasurer shall
conduct any correspondence under the direction of
the district or Board of Trustees. The
Secretary/Treasurer shall receive and safely keep
all monies belonging to the District and receipt
for same and pay it out by order of the Board of
Trustees.

Section 5. The officers of this district shall


constitute the Board of Trustees who shall be
authorized to make all contracts for work and pay
for same,to raise and levy taxes by order of the
President and the Secretary.

ARTICLE III - Meetings


Section 1. The Annual Meeting of the District
shall be held in the month of March each
year, and at a place to be determined by the
President and Board of Trustees. Three (3) days
notice shall be given to each recorded
interested person and the general public stating
the time and place of such meeting and posted in
a public place.
Section 2. Special Meetings may be called by the
President, upon request of two (2) or more
members, on at least seven (7) days notice.

ARTICLE IV - Amendments
Section 1. These By-Laws may be amended or revised
at any ANNUAL MEETING or SPECIAL MEETING of the
District by a majority vote of the members
present, provided the notice of the meeting
specifies the proposed amendment to the
Constitution and By-Laws are listed on the agenda
of the meeting.
