Conference goal: The conference will provide an interdisciplinary and international forum for an
exchange of achievements in the field, state of the art research & applications of
Music in Medicine, Music Therapy, and Counseling. Scientific research results,
methods, standards, definitions and empirical findings as well as creative and
innovative concepts will be discussed, clinical programs displayed on-site.

Space and Equipment Information
The Conference Venue for all Oral Presentations will be at the Hoversten Chapel located in the Foss,
Miles, and Lobeck Center, 22nd Avenue S & Riverside Avenue, Minneapolis. Powerpoint projection, and
Audio-CD-player will be available. For video and other special needs please contact Leslie Larson at
LarsonL4@augsburg.edu or 612-330-1019.

During the conference, Workshops will be held in the Foss, Miles, and Lobeck Center and the Music
Hall. The following rooms will be available:
Hoversten Chapel: Seats approximately 400
Sateren Auditorium: Seats approximately 200
Choir Room: Seats approximately 100
Room assignments will be based on space and equipment needs. Please contact Leslie Larson at

services for people with Parkinson’s disease, family carepartners, and health care professionals. Located
in Golden Valley, the center serves the entire state of Minnesota, and is nationally recognized for its team
approach to PD management. Education and outreach efforts include coordination of a five state 80+
support group network, classes/conferences for area communities/health professionals and Club
CREATE, a therapeutic day program designed for clients with Parkinson’s disease and related movement
disorders.

As Children's of Minnesota unveils a $300 million campus expansion and modernization project, be part
of a special opportunity to see the new Minneapolis state of the art campus. At Children’s, we integrate
art and music with architecture, landscape, and medicine to create inspirational and transformative healing
journeys for the children we serve. In addition, we are the home of the largest and longest running Pain,
Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine programs, where music therapists, massage therapists and
integrative practitioners help manage the pain and distressing symptoms of patients in the hospital and in
their homes every day. You can learn more about these programs as well as see the art environment as
you view Children's Gallery, signature artwork on the music making floor of the hospital and Specialty
Clinic. You will tour many public areas of the hospital and see the surgical center, family resource center
and learn about Children's in-hospital Geek Squad Precinct (the only one of its kid) and the largest, in-
hospital Ronald McDonald House in the country. Children's is the largest not-for-profit, independent
pediatric hospital system in Minnesota, with 332 beds, and campuses on St. Paul and Minneapolis with

Registration:

Registration will be on-line only. All details concerning the conference are on display at

- The number of participants for the conference is limited to 500.


- As the number of workshop participants may be limited and space is on a first-come, first-served
basis.
- Depending on individual capacities of clinical sites to be visited for field excursions, there will be
on-line pre-registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

bird registration, payment, accommodation and travel information.

All oral sessions are located at the Hoversten Chapel located in the Foss, Miles, and Lobeck Center, 22nd
Avenue S & Riverside Avenue, Minneapolis

Workshops will be located in the Foss, Miles, and Lobeck Center and the Music Hall. Location to be
assigned.

Advance registration is required for all fieldtrips and a small fee will be charged. If interested, be sure and
