SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Please note scholarships do not include registration for the MAXI Awards or pre-conference workshops.
Scholarship recipients may receive only one AFP DC scholarship per year. Only one person per
organization may receive a scholarship.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Must be employed by a 501(c)(3) organization that could not otherwise afford to send the
candidate to the conference.
Must be employed as a fundraising professional or, if candidate is an executive director, a
substantial amount of his/her time must be devoted to fundraising.
Must be willing to volunteer for the AFP DC Chapter.
Must be willing to share experience and insights with other AFP DC members (e.g., via article in
newsletter, etc.).
May not have received another AFP DC scholarship in the past 3 years.
Must be willing to serve as a room monitor for one full day, in an educational track that meets
your interests and educational goals, at the Bridge Conference. Room monitors assist speakers
in educational sessions (with AV or other needs as necessary) and pass out and collect
evaluations.
Applicants who are currently unemployed, due to your organization’s recent cut backs, and are
AFP DC members in good standing are encouraged to apply.
