opening three branches located in Malaysia, Indonesia and China. This is a trading company that

specialised in the commercial wears apparels. The general target group is the middle class

fast growing. They are fashion conscious and have significant purchasing power. The

organisation works with various local companies offering services and product at lower price.

This would provide assistance to the company toward deliveries overseas.

The local currently, employs 467 full-time and 380 part-time employees in our main branch

here. The overseas subsidiaries consist of 765 full-time and 437 part-time employees.

In this report, I will discuss and elaborate in detail pertaining all finding regarding the

organisation strategic, procedures and mechanics uses in running the organisation. This summary

aims to show Crome Perfecto organisation structure and its management culture. Moreover, it

aims to show how the factors influence the performance of the organisation.

The summary would shows how this local company, Crome Perfecto is able to compete with

other companies and is continuously expanding. Good brand awareness has led to the

organisation to increase its profits. Finally the summary would reveal several operation

undertaken by staff with the organisation.

3
3.0 OBJECTIVE

The objective of this report will cover the following section, identified bellows. I classified

them as the performance indicator. I believe a successful organisation rely on these five major

aspect in measuring their successful performance annually.

3.1 Organisation Culture

3.2 Organisation Planning

3.3 Leadership

3.4 Communication Effectiveness

3.5 Support and Motivation

This year the organisation intends to open two more branches in India and Hong Kong. The

organisation plan to increase the profit by 35% compared to last year. This is likely achievable if

all department in the organisation keep on working together as a team. Furthermore, the steady

growth in the economy, government initiatives in supporting local industries and a lot of tourists

arriving here will help Crome Perfecto achieved its target.

4
4.0 STRATEGIES

As a General Manager of Crome Perfecto, I feel its essentials to have a good organisation

structure. Normally, I will ensure the organisation plans are on track. Meetings are held on

regular basis with all department managers. It is imperative that goals identified and achieved. If

goals are not met then necessary changes need to be addressed. The following are the strategies

that need to be implemented.

4.1 Meeting are held on designated time

• As a monitor channel getting all information up-dated.

• Information are discussed and addressed correctly.

• Problems solve would mean the production more efficiency and effectively.

4.2 Delegation and Empowerment

• These have a significant impact on the organisation itself where employees are being

trust to perform tasks with some restricted authority in completing their task.

• Projects are to be carried out in-group.

5
• Empowerment is needed to be practice. This would avoid to much interdependent on

management team or superiors. Projects are done faster and the members

develop/improved their interpersonal skills.

4.3 The Support and Encouragement

• Our organisation always works as a team and support each other. This created a strong

relationship among the people within the organisation, feeling self-belonging and a

positive team spirit.

• The task culture approach in getting task done is very effective and meeting the

organisation goal is high.

4.4 The Reward

• I found in my observation, employees tend to work harder when we appreciate their time

sacrifice and recognise their work and well performance.

• The reward in term of financial or non-financial is being acceptable positively by

employees as long as we give some credit to them.

6
5.0 PROCEDURES

Under my leadership after I joined this organisation in 2003,I have made a few changes in the

management approach regarding the procedures and communication method.

5.1 The Leadership

The Democratic practice seems to benefit all departments because the managers always

support the down-line workers efforts for improvement and innovation in the work place.

Here are a few reason I list as prove the Democratic approach are acceptable by all:

• Clearly, managers and superiors actually can use the given opinions, feedbacks and

information gathers from the down-line workers. This can help in making decisions or in

problem solving issues.

• This reduces time consuming and in some cases it save cost.

• Defines the organisations vision, mission and goal more clearly and accurate.

5.2 Organisation Communications

In the recent years, Crome Perfecto has been investing in communication facilities for

communication purposes. All branches are adequate with electronics facilities such as

7
electronic mail system, voice mail, teleconferencing, videoconferencing and intranet. This

has reduced the cost for travel by 34% annually. Information also can be executed faster and

directly.

Another Informal Communication known as Grapevine. Is a method the management team

use in collecting data and information from the front-line workers. This unofficial

communication way commonly created difficulties like spreading rumours and gossips but

have a lot of good aspect if properly managed. It can be a valuable aid in communicating the

organisation values, policy, morals and goal.

5.3 Decision Making Process

As for all project, task or plan, they will be decisions need to be made. Even in the daily

operation, managers will encounter crisis or issues that need to be resolve.

Differences approaches are being use in the decision making process. It all depend on the

situations itself, time, cost and information obtain. Managers are always being seen in Crome

Perfecto using the Rational or Bounded Rationality Model in making the decision. These two

models are more logical and acceptable by all compared to others decisions making model

theories.

8
6.0 MECHANICS

Crome Perfecto is a growing profit-based organisation that desires to be involved in social

responsibilities. The management take the responsibilities seriously and can be see in their

efforts in three major contribution-the responsible toward the employees, the public and the

environment. Before taking care of the outsider or the environment we need to take care of

people within the organisation first.

6.1 The employees

This is normally where the management make sure all they staff are covered with

insurance and the working place are safe and comfortable. We always revised the salary

package for every two years so it is an acceptable package and reasonable for our employees.

It is essential for all individual in the organisation know the goal and who are in their

department. This is to make sure all workflow is smooth and communications are effective.

Before any project is carried out, the manager or the department and sometime I also will

come down and make it clear and transparent that any task or project is needed with all effort

from all individual and must work as a team and getting the goal set clear to them. This

allowed individual to interact with one another more comfortable and developed new skill

while finishing any assigned project von time with efficiency. When people work together as

9
a team, it will lead to better result by end of the day. This also one of the facto to a successful

organisation making profit and good image

6.2 The Public

Since 2004,the organisation conducts twice a year charity and voluntary work at selected

orphanage and elderly home. We also collaborate with big non-profit organisation such as

WWF and MERCY for fund-raising events.

The public is a very sensitive portion in a business nature. Public is the main source of

income for every business and the organisation really do rely on a good public relationship

and image. We will always monitor our clients and competitors because the threat and

information’s regarding the business nature are related to them.

6.3 The Environment

We also contribute to the environment by encourage using recycle item and recycle any

item that is recyclable. We also carried out project like planting trees and cleaning working

place together.

10
7.0 CONCLUSION

As a conclusion, a business is doing well is determine by the performance of the organisation

as a whole. It is view on their role in putting the entire unit in the organisation in action to

accordingly. This is important in achieving the organisation goal. Besides making profit, they

also have ensured the organisation culture and procedures are followed at all time. Furthermore,

the management always take all employer and employees relationship into consideration before

making any final decision. This is a good democracy style since they realized that the

organisation is doing well as a team.

Despite the good management team, there are still a few areas need to be improved. I have

found a few project failures and plan on pending progression within this last six month. This is

generally due to lack of discipline and motivation in employees especially among new

employees and part timers. Through my few informal conversations, a number of loyal,

dedicated employees who are likely are influential, respected and knowledgeable as their

superior. They too have potential to be promoted, perhaps at supervisory level. The organisation

can take advantage of the influences of this group of informal person. In this way, the

organisation will have loyal employees and customers.

11
8.0 RECOMMENDATIONS

I would highly recommend the following steps to improve the organisation management and

workflow. This few steps will benefit both – the employer and employees.

8.1 Individual Appraisal

• Individual appraisal should be carried out on yearly basis appraisal to measure the

performance of every individual in the organisation. This is to identify their

strength and areas for improvement.

8.2 Allocate Budget For Training

• The organisation can allocate budget in training their workers through short

course training.

• A few examples of conducting training course are:

8.2.1 Customer Services Course

• Employees knows what the organisations standard level of customer

services when dealing with clients and suppliers.

12
8.2.2 Product Know ledges

• These to ensure all information given to outsider about our product are

correct.

8.3 Rewards

• Rewards can also help to improve the organisation in managing their people. I

have classified them into two groups as follow.

8.3.1 Non-Financial Rewards

8.3.1.1 Promotion

• Individual that is qualified and the performances are excellent

should be promoted. Position in the organisation should not be

based on academic transcript and year of working experience only.

13
8.3.2 Financial Rewards

8.3.2.1 Bonus And Increment

• Bonus or increment is needed as a token of appreciation for the

hard work contributed to the organisation growth.

8.3.2.2 Attendance Allowance

• Attendance allowances of $100 to encourage employees to come to

work on time or early for the whole month.

• They can earn just by turning up early to work and the organisation

will have less problem dealing with latecomers or the regular late

employees
