(1) FINITE STATE MACHINE: -


Moore and Meley machines, synchronous controller, timing consideration, control using
PLA/EPROM, GP/LD and FPGA'S

(2) VHDL: -
(A) Overview of designs automation approach to digital designs-use of hardware
description. Languages, introduction to VHDL, verilog digital system simulation, and
hardware synthesis.
(B) Structure of VHBL. Timing and concurrency issues, structural specifications of
hardware wiring and components, interconnections
(C) Definition and usage of package and components, design of general-purpose test bench,
use of design, libraries and library management, introduction to library STD logic 1164
and multi value logic.
