PROJECT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. It is a mandatory requirement on the part of the student community at large that


each one of them is exposed to industry / real life environment in order to enable
each of them to acquire adequate practical skills and competency; and therefore to
achieve the above goal, a student has to undertake a major project towards the end
of the final semester as well as a minor project during each semester.

2. It is thus obvious that each student has to perforce undertake a minor project all by
himself/herself. However, a major project can be undertaken by a group, depending
on his/her convenience where the group strength should not exceed two, although in
case of a group, each such member has to exclusively work on a particular part, the
completion of such identifiable parts will be culminated into a whole project.

FULFILLMENT OF REQUIREMENTS IN PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT REPORT:

3. The following mandatory requirements have to be fulfilled in a chronological


manner in order to be eligible for acceptance by the authority for subsequent
evaluation and presentation:

a) A Synopsis not exceeding 4 to 5 pages bringing out the brief objectives and
implementation methodologies of the project must be presented well before
undertaking the actual project.
b) Project Report should be between 100 to 150 pages and each page must be
numbered accordingly and for minor projects, it should be between 50 to 60
pages.
c) A total of 3 copies of the Report to be submitted, out of which one will be
returned back to the student on evaluation and the balance one for retention
in the library for official use.
d) The Report should be black hard bound (no spiral binding is allowed) with
golden embossed letters on the top.
e) The contents must be in the form of a document printed using Microsoft
Word on white Bond paper of A4 Size interspersed with graphics and tables
wherever required.
f) Please use a font of Arial/ Times New Roman of a font size of 12 Pts. for
the body text and 14 Pts. for sub-heads and 16 Pts. for Chapter Headings.
g) Please use a leding/ line spacing of 1.5 lines between two lines of the body
text. Please leave a margin of 1 Inch on all sides.
h) In case of a Group Project, each constituent member of the group is required
to submit his/ her individual copies mentioning the individual contribution
in the Group, as mentioned in sub para (b) above.
i) The Report must be prepared in the following chronological order:
i. Dissertation work submitted in partial fulfillment of the award of
degree of ………………..
ii. A Photostat copy of the project completion certificate from the
organization where the project is undertaken duly signed/approved by
the head of the organization on their Letterhead.
iii. A Photostat certificate from the Head of the Department duly signed
on the Letterhead.
iv. Declaration by the student
v. Acknowledgement
vi. Table of contents with page numbers
vii. Abstract
viii. Content pages
ix. Questionnaires (if applicable)
x. Bibliography
