Assignment #1 - Your Personal Logo

For this assignment you will apply the elements and principles of logo design
we discussed in class to the creation of your own personal logo. The logo you
create should be unique and reflective of your personality/identity in some
way. It should be eye-catching, yet simple and clean. Your logo
needs to incorporate graphics as well as text.

When you have finished the final logo, you will complete a 150 - 200 word
(1/2 to 3/4 page) reflection based on the following questions:

1. What special aspects of your personality did you

attempt to portray in your logo? (What does your logo
mean? What is the story behind it?)
2. How did you achieve this? (How did you use the elements
and principles of design we studied to create your logo?)

Process: 1. Complete and word-process the "So Who Do You Think You
Are?" questions.
2. In-class: Create four to six coloured sketches on notebook
paper.
3. Select one design and refine it. Draw a final logo on a sheet
of blank paper (Creation on computer using Photoshop or
Illustrator is optional!)
4. Complete the reflection questions and word-process your
answers.
