A MANUAL FOR PREPARATION OF FINAL PROJECT REPORT

1. GENERAL :
The manual is intended to provide broad guidelines to the students in the preparation of the
project report. In general, the dissertation shall give in an organized and scholarly fashion, an
account of original project work done by the students. Use Diagrams, pie-charts, bar-
diagrams, graphs to illustrate content in your project report, as suitable. Students will be
allocated a Full Time Faculty Guide for their Project.

Topic should be chosen by Student within two weeks of the Announcement.


Progress report should be shared with Guide after every ONE week (OR AS
FREQUENTLY as needed) from the commencement of the Project.
2. NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE SUBMITTED:
Students should submit one copy to the Administrative Office on or before the specified
date. The Report should be bound in black with gold colored embossing, matt finish.
Students are advised to keep one copy for themselves.
Three (3) copies of Abstract to be carried by the students for distribution among the
presentation panelists on the day of Presentation

3. SIZE OF PROJECT REPORT:


The size of project report should be in the range of 40-80 pages of typed matter reckoned
from page # 1 beginning with Executive Summary. The emphasis is on Quality and
Content and NOT on number of pages.
(Supervisors have the freedom of increasing or lessening the length of the
Dissertation)

4. PAGE DIMENSIONS AND MARGINS:


The dimensions of the final bound copy of the project report should be in standard A4
size. 80 gsm paper may be used for preparing the copies.

The final copy of the project report (at the time of submission) should have the following
page margins:

Top edge : 3 cm to 3.5 cm (1.2” to 1.4”)


Bottom edge : 2.5 cm to 3 cm (1” to 1.2”)
Left side : 3. 5 cm to 4.0 cm (1.4” to 1.6”)
Right side : 2 cm to 2.5 cm (0.8” to 1”)

5. FONT SIZE AND SPACING:


The report should be typed in ‘Times New Roman’, font size 12 in one and a half
paragraph spacing.

Project Report.
