TEST ANALYSIS
(Objective Test)
The student answers (d). In this first number of the test, it is obvious that the error is
made by the student. The item is easy for those who study the pattern of the sentence and
can memorize the lesson.
The student answers (d). The answer is correct. But the item here is too easy.
The student answers (c). This item has good distractor, we can see in point (b). The
pattern of the sentence is obviously unavailable in English pattern. But the other three is
well patterned. It is quite difficult for a beginner student to answer it, but if the student
learns little harder, it would be an easy one. Just like in this item where the student can
answer the question correctly. The item is valid according to the theory.

The student answers (b). It is a correct answer. The item is not bad, because it has good
distractors.
Leo
The student answers (a). This item is pretty good and the student can answer it correctly
Yours truthfully,
Tika Panggabean
The student answers (c) This item is good in testing the student’s reading comprehension.
The student answers (a). This item is also about reading comprehension and it is valid
based on the theory.
The student answers (c)It is the same with previous number that the item isevaluating the
student’s reading comprehension.
The student answers (b). This item could be answered easily because it is very easy.
The student answers (c). although it needs comprehension, I think it is too easy for a
student of senior high school.
The student answers (b). Just like several items before that forces the students to use
their mathematic ability to answer the question, in my opinion this item is not valid
because it doesn’t test what should be tested. Too much items with this kind of question
decreases the validity of the test.
The student answers (d). The item above is good because it is not too difficult and not too
easy to be answered.
The student answers (b). The test item make a valid question.
The student answers (c). It is a wrong answer. I think the reason is because the item is
not based on the students’ scope of knowledge. They haven’t got any adequate idea about
something like TEFL.
The student answers (d). The answer is true, but I think it is accidental.

By analyzing the real sheet of the test, I think the test is lack of face validity because test
is in hand writing, and then copied for the students. So, some items are difficult to be
read. It is also not as clean as the test typed using a computer. In some items, I found that
the questions given are not valid, because they don’t have any accordance with the
material or the students’ level of knowledge. It is seen in the item number 16.
