 ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
St.Peter's University is a Deemed-to-be
University, sponsored by St.Peter’s
Institute of Higher Education and Research
Trust, established in 2008 under Section 3
of the UGC Act, 1956. It was earlier
functioning as St. Peter's Engineering
College which was established in the year
1992 and affiliated to Anna University,
Chennai, with all the eligible programmes
accredited by NBA AICTE, New Delhi.
St. Peter's University is now poised with
greater thrust for high quality education
and innovating programmes leading to
research and development. The Trust has
been created for public charitable
purposes and objective of general utility,
not evolving any profit.
It is situated in a spacious area of
60.00 acres of land between Annanur and
Avadi Railway station and it is well
connected with frequent bus and rail
transport. In addition, our University is
running its own transport between University
and different parts of city.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Department of Computer Applications was
started in the year 1995 with the intake of
120 students. Department functions with
experienced and efficient faculty members,
24 hours Lab and Internet facilities. The
Department has conducted successfully
several national level seminars, conferences,
SDP, FDP and workshops.
